I almost photographed Dougy with his eyes open today. Look closely and you can see a hint of his eyes. A sliver. A glint.
Dougy beat the flash again!
Dougy has such pretty eyes, it’s a treat when I can catch them in a photo!
His eyes aren’t quite that orange in real life, just in that particular artificial light. I’d call them yellowish-brown. The top photo accurately shows his pelage.
It sounds like a typical control issue when you are a cat 🙂 He is beautiful

You are kind to think I have that capability! Just this morning, I got two wonderful shots of his tail and the back of his head when he flinched at the moment the flash went off. I’ll keep trying. I got photos of him in past with his eyes open, so I know it’s possible.
He needs training from Sonu Singh, who poses! In fact he waits for the pictures to be taken!!

Bribes are usual;ly doled out afterwards here. (For example, treats for Andy after he takes his medicine….), but Dougy needs some coaxing up front, I think.
He’s a darling, it’s well worth it.

Oh, in two days he and Andy get their late summer haircuts/day at the kitty spa, and they will be sleek and less fuzzy again. If they didn’t get lots of mats in their hair and have a problem of poop hanging up in their butt hair, I’d let them go natural. As it is, they grow back their hair pretty fast. In two months, they will look exactly the same as they do now, and will be ready for their late fall haircut/day at the kitty spa!
Awww kitty haircuts! They kinda look like lions aftee their spa day!
We go for the teddy bear cut. Their groomer doesn’t cut so much hair off that way, and they look more like regular cats, just with shorter hair.
