Post 434: the water fountain

Just like at work, a guy's gotta keep hydrated on a warm day.

Sometimes others see it as an opportunity for funny business -- or to avoid work. ["I know that robin will come back. I'm sneaking down to the water fountain!"]

Or just to catch up on the latest catty remarks about co-workers, for a little laugh at their expense!

  1. Now that is a cool water fountain and I am going to have to go find the princess one.
I am sure she will find a way to get it all over the place, so maybe I will just skip that idea.
Ali puts her paw into the water and then brings it up to her mouth and licks the water off of it.
Love watching her and I swear she is a little girl in a furry suit.

    • It comes in porcelain…! I think I saw one in gold, too. Princess versions of this or other fountains definitely are out there! This is the particular brand I started with, but you can find reviews for each variety (of those offered by Amazon, at least) and come up with THE princess fountain your cat will most enjoy! 🙂 Thew one I have has the extra “drip dish” (or whatever you call it) underneath,m and you are right: It does serve a useful purpose! For $20 extra, it was an excellent purchase. Before I got it, there was some issues with sloppiness…yeah, yeah, cats are neat and clean! (NOT!)

  2. The human plans to get one of those fountains fur me…I think its a flippin demotion. I currently have a cobalt blue wine glass. Dang human. *(the least she could do is fill it with nip)*

    • On the other hand, the water is filtered and aerated! Yummy! I do recommend having two on hand, though, so you can put one in service, clean the other at your leisure (your human’s leisure, rather!), and assure fresh, tasty water is available most of the time with only limited interruption in the service. Also, it makes a lovely fountain sound of water splashing, which is appealing, I think, to both cat and human.
