Andy’s the star of this little vignette, this slice of life, this true life mini-adventure…! 🙂
After several days, both boys now have tried out this new toy, but Andy falls for a distraction just as he’s starting to get into its play potential.

Very nice. I just got my Crew Dog twister, Ms. Zulu loves the treats hidden inside the game but Mr. Charlie is not so food oriented. I am hoping this game will prepare Ms. Zulu for University…
Ah, but you’ll miss Ms. Zulu when she heads off to university. Admit it! 😉
Andy and Dougy both go for food, though they’ve failed to catch on to treat toys. Perhaps I gave up before they got the idea?
I had to show Ms. Zulu a couple of times before she realized that it was okay to move blocks. And yes I will miss her if she would head off to the university. Maybe she will choose a university nearby…
…or a junior college, in case she decides she’s not the academic type! Better, she’ll decide to just stay at home and be a good girl. A degree is over-rated in some ways.
Right now she likes where she is at. It will be her decisions; I just want her to be happy…
Good for her!
The boys are too much. As I watched the video, you can see Andy’s little brain hard at work to foil the plans of the ball and then the fly – did he eventually get him?
Yeah, Andy is the more intellectual one of the brothers, and Dougy is the pure hedonist! No, but I eventually ended its career with a conventional flie swatter when it bugged me while I was preparing a meal. I hate flies!
Ali has the flash ball that lights up as it flies around the track.
She has been batting at it like Andy is doing with this one.
Andy is a busy boy noticing the world around him and all of the potential toys he can play with.
You and the boys have a good week.
The flash ball is one I’ve not seen. Sounds like a winner! I’ll have to look into that one, as if the boys didn’t have enough toys…! You have a great week, too, especially since Ali’s home again!
A great film! Andy for an Oscar and the fly for best supporting actor. 😉
Thanks! I thought the little improvised gallop after the fly, while not scripted, was a brilliant move on Andy’s part! Of course the fly may not be around to accept the Oscar if Andy and Dougy have any say in it or if I have to live with it one more day…. 😉
LOL. A true Method actor. If the fly doesn’t make it, my second nomination goes to the tiny pillow. A minor role, but still very moving. 😀
You might expect Nebraska-born Andy to be. One of the great method actors, Marlon Brando, came from Omaha, Nebraska. The tiny pillow is a catnip toy with a bell. Much like the string toy the boys move around during the night so that it appears in a different spot every day, this catnip pillow mysteriously moves around, too. That’s part of the fun of it and the string toy. I think the boys do it to keep me amused. LOL!
What a coincidence! Andy and Brando! 😉
On the other hand, Fred Astaire, Robert Taylor, Harold Lloyd, Henry Fonda all were Nebraska boys, too. Astaire and Lloyd had elements (grace & humor) that the boys show, though I think that’s more the cat thing than the Nebraska thing!
[Originally, I typed “grave” instead of “grace”. To change that one letter took 25 keystrokes! I almost left it as is!]
I like ‘grave’! Should have left it. It would have sparked my curiosity. 🙂
I suppose it would have! Of course, all the actors mentioned are on the other side of the surface these days, except – God preserve him! – Andy!
LOL. 🙂
Andy is such a serious little cat that he really cracks me up when he goes comedic!
😀 I can see that.
I also like the little sounds he makes, but that, again, is because he isn’t as vocal as his brother. Dougy “talks” all the time, and makes cute little sounds when he jumps and lands on something, sort of the kitty equivalent of “oomph!” with a “meow” coloration.
LOL! My big boys do that. A grunting type noise. 🙂
Cute, isn’t it!?
It IS! 🙂
