The boys woke me up very early this morning — 11:30 or so — and I didn’t sleep much after that. Around 1:30, Dougy got especially whiney, bugging me with his “feed me now” whine. Argh! So the boys ate early breakfasts and I finished off the third bismarck, by this morning a little dried out, but not bad with coffee.
I had some thoughts about a theme for today’s blog, though they slipped my mind. In the meantime, here’s a gratuitous kitty photo:
Dougy looks mighty handsome in this photo, taken yesterday after I woke him up. (Perhaps the early wake up call this morning is karma kicking in, eh?!) He’s all scrunched up into one of those impossible cat scrunches, but that’s the only way he fits on top of the mouse pad. Cats!
He is pretty dang adorable, I can see how you can forgive him for disrupting your most necessary sleep when he gives you that adorableness…….curses!
I am pussycat whipped, for sure!
🙂
Well yes Dougy does look handsome, but the word I can think o tis absolutely adorable. Makes a person wan tot pic him up and cuddle him and run his belly.
I can appreciate that! There is a YouTube channel called Mysticbell that features eight or 10 Persian cats being very cute. I really want to find one of my kitties after watching these videos and give them loving! Ali has that same affect on me, too because she is a beautiful, long-haired kitty.

This is early for you…..hahaha…when I want some lovin’ I wake mom at 3am for some head scritches. She is a good ole egg…if you like eggs that is…she falls back to sleep petting me and I don’t push it.
It makes me feel special.
(((Shoko)))
Three AM is their regular wake me up time. I’m used to that, and adjust my bedtime to accommodate it. Dang cats!
Paybacks are a B_tch, Doug!
Kitties never forget. It’s wise to remember that!
He looks pretty smug…..like he got everything he demanded….great pic…..
I live for my cats. They have me very well trained!
I can sympathize…my dogs have me wrapped around their paws……both are rescues from Katrina I found them and they came home…but for dogs that were eating from trash cans they have developed a helluva gourmet palate……
Kudos to you for rescuing pooches from that disaster! It was heartbreaking watching people die on the streets, but no less heartbreaking to see cats and dogs trying to survive as well.
Baby Girl I found all muddy up and living under a collapsed house……..Little Man was being abused and he was spirited away from that and into my house….
Wow! As if enduring the storm weren’t traumatizing enough for the poor dogs!
Yep, but damn they adapted well….LOL
Baby Girl is my heart….she chose me after the storm and how could I resist? we shared a cheese cracker and were friends from that point on….
That’d do it! Probably the best cheese cracker she ever ate, too! Have you posted your dogs’ photos on your blog? I know that isn’t the thrust of your blog, but you clearly love these guys a lot.
Not yet but I am working on it….
😉 yup!
