I’m never alone.
As much as they love their new toy, there are priorities that trump play: nap time, for example! They get me up at god-awful-o’clock, eat, then take a long nap.
Here’s a video version of the Dougy part of it…:

Who doesn’t love nap time, it usually trumps everything else except food time.. haha 🙂 Enjoyed your posts and video very much 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
I think I will take one right now!
It’s getting close to my nap time as well!
LOL! If we pay attention to our inner cats, we’ll get off our computers and deal with those needed naps! =(^+^)=
Hahaha well said! very soon the inner cat in me would make my eyes close and then nothing else would matter.. 🙂
I’m yawning and trying to fight off my inner cat, but this comment will be it for the time being. Yes, I am going to take that nap…or else!
Yes, we don’t want ‘or else’ to happen.. Lol 🙂 Have a pleasant nap.
We all did!
Well that’s good, so did I 🙂
That’s why we are so bright-eyed and bushy-tailed today, eh!?
hehehe right! 🙂
🙂
Dude- never mess with a kat’s nap! 😸
Amen! It will come back to haunt you!
Especially if I’M the kat!
LOL! 😉
😸
Is that a tummy I spot there for TRT? ;o
I guess it is…!
😀
Ha ha I couldn’t help laughing that it was you who was in the mood to play and not Dougy or Andy. They wanted to be lazy and sleep. 🙂 🙂 😀
Yeah, the wee farts! Then, when I want to do something else, Dougy (in particular) will come over and start his whiney kitten routine, a most irritating business! (Which works…!)
You are right, with cats one is never alone! Somewhere here, there is always some little face beaming up at me!
I have seen a similar response to the toy from Lucio. Only he rolls over on it, and hides it under himself so the other cats can’t get it.
That’s Andy’s tactic, too! Or, he’ll chew on it a little, then pick it up and try to run off with the toy to some spot where he can maul it on his own terms. LOL!
Nap time is very important 🙂 Please visit us to enter our giveaway.
Yeah, that it is!
Our kittens will be all quick and acrobatic and then lie down and just bat at the toy like that.
Dougy works up to a frenzy like that, and it is amazing to see that much chunky cat hopping a couple feet in the air! Andy is more reserved about his play, though he sometimes forgets himself and gets revved up, too!
I think they’re related to my boys. 🙂
Either that or they go to a special cat school to learn this stuff. LOL!
Nothing wrong with nap time trumping play!
I’m thinking it might be a good plan for me after I have a light breakfast…! (I added a video after I posted the original version, if you missed it. Dougy actually moves in it! 😉 ) Tell Ms. Zulu “woof!” for me! Scritch her ears, too, if she likes that. I know my boys do.
Will look at the video to see some movement, LOL. Oh, Ms. Z. loves to get her ears scritched! She is napping now…
Andy just stopped by to get his nose rubbed, too, and a little face cuddling.
Give Andy and Dougy some scritching from me and Ms. Zulu too. Although on second thought, Ms. Z. wants to lick them…
The boys said the equivalent of “Ew!” in Catinese, but I think they secretly admire a tongue that is big enough to take care of their personal grooming needs in one lick! =(^+^)=
Well at least they are done with grooming then for today. Which means more time for napping.
…which is what they are doing at this very moment! LOL!
I guess it doesn’t hurt to be thorough…
Actually, it’s 15 minutes past their regular supper time, so sleeping too much has its risks…! (They’ll get fed, of course, just a bit late!)
Too cute. It’s all about priorities. 🙂
They are good about holding to them, too!
A strict regimen. 🙂
They have more discipline than I!
Same here. I should be napping right now, according to them! 😉
I did take a short nap, while watching ”The Fallen Sparrow” (1943), a spy thriller. I guessed who the bad guy was, but not who murdered whom among several “suicides”. Too bad, even though the plot was transparent and the main villain predictable, it still was very entertaining. It’ll probably be on TCM again soon enough, and maybe I’ll snooze through the part I’ve seen the next time! 😉
I saw this at the top of my reader and thought “I really should be a cat.”
And how! I’ve often thought similar thoughts myself!
That is cats for you. And if you wake them up they look at you like you have lost your mind and ask, “WHAT?”
In exactly that tone of meow, too!
A never-ending barrel of fun!
And how!
