I love “Simon’s Cat” videos, but the boys don’t get the charm of these cartoons. (They come a lot too close to home, I’d say!)

No, but they do act anxious if the cat sounds like it is hurt or mad. Other than that, they pretty much ignore video. I’ve noticed Andy sometimes watches television when he’s resting on a light stand in the front room, but never for long.
Oli gets annoyed at me if I watch cat videos lol. He can tell they are other cats and will try to close the laptop screen haha
I don’t think Andy and Dougy see the images as real. For the most part, they don;t react unless a cat makes a yowl. (Happy Birthday, incidentally! I sent you an e-card on Facebook — Doug Thomas — but perhaps others reading this will want to send you greetings too who might not get the notice there.)
My two got a valerian pillow each (small cuddle toys, filled with valerian root pieces) – and I had some entertainment as they both loved the same pillow – naturally …
That’s typical, of course! My two like a plastic wash basin that is just right for a cat to sleep in. Dougy claimed it (of course!), then Andy decided he wanted it, too. So…I bought Andy a tub identical to it and put it on top of the carrier he claims. course, tried to claim that tub, too. They occasionally still have little staring contests over those tubs.
Cat logic.

Yes, it is nice! One of the oldest photos I have of Dougy, when he was about two and a half or three months old and just arrived here, that’s what he was doing. He’s a sweetie pie that way!
