I don’t know what got into Andy this morning, but he was racing around the apartment like a 10 pound Secretariat.
He hopped. He pounced. He climbed. He teased his brother, Dougy. Andy was possessed!
Dougy was more circumspect. Not very Dougy like, but even Dougy takes a break from play sometimes!
It always heartens me to see Andy have fun because he is such a serious little guy.
Now, time to catch the little rascal to give him his blood pressure medicine, but I don’t think the odds are good for capture today.
It’s probably his new exercise regime to get rid of the medicine. Either his heart will improve or he’ll get too fast to be caught. 🙂
I’m sure it is good that he (and his chubby brother Dougy…!) have these bursts of running because they get good exercise that way.
Have the boys been sipping out of your coffee cup again and practicing their nascar moves.
That might explain it: I take mine strong and black! 🙂
I not sure but here was a full moon last nite
That explains the long fur and pointy teeth…! LOL! 🙂 (Not to mention cattitude…!)
Well, did you catch the little rascal for his medication?
Not yet…! As soon as I answer these comments, I’m going to see if I can find him.
Our cats go crazy in the mornings. One could easily be found flat on the floor with paw tracks across the face!
LOL! How true! Before I had the boys, I had Louie the ginger cat. He was an older rescue cat when I got him, but he still did this tearing around business from time to time. He weighed nearly 24 pounds, so he definitely was a threat to health and safety if you didn’t get out of the way!
Poor Andy will not be cool with having to get his medication after enjoying running, and hopping.
Coco says, well done….
He still hasn’t had his medicine today…having successfully hidden from me for hours!
Ahh the ‘cat crazies’ so much fun to watch. 🙂
It’s especially fun when both cats are having one at the same time, though it’s dangerous to be in the road when they come crashing through!
I tend to sit in my chair with my feet up. Nothing is safe! 🙂
I used to have a problem with the boys when they were kittens. My computer chair then was backless. When the boys were wound up and chasing around, they sometimes climbed up my back to get on the computer desk. I finally got them to realize this was unacceptable, but it took some doing! 🙁
We always call that a “cat fit.” That is a beautiful photo of your little one.
I like that description! That’s exactly how it looks. You can tell the kitty’s all pumped on Adrenalin and his ear’s are pasted back in anticipation of the pounce!
We also are never quite certain that they are not seeing and fleeing from things that we can’t see or hear.
There’ll be times both boys become alert, looking in the same direction toward something I can’t see or hear., It’s kind of creepy! On the other hand, they serve as a distant early warning system for things like when the mail is going to be delivered or a package delivered because they run to the door to “greet” (i.e. “snoop on”) whatever or whomever might be there. I mean, there could be a new cardboard box in it for them, eh?!
