Nothing piques the boys’ interest like a wand toy. Dougy, in fact, knows where I store them –the little end table Andy likes to sleep on…– and he’s been puzzling out how to open the door since the first day he saw me pull a BirBug wand toy out of it. No luck so far!
Yes, Andy! It’s a wand toy!
Andy comes in closer and I move the wand toy into better light.
Dougy wants some of this wand toy action, too, though Doug (the human one) all ready played wand toy with him earlier.
Dougy is all about a good time!
I guess Dougy had enough wand toy for the moment
because he decides to bird watch out the back window, leaving all the wand toy fun for his brother.
Andy doesn’t know what to make of this development. Dougy usually hogs the toys!
“Hunh…?!”
Andy tries to process this wonderful moment. The wand toy is all his!
Dougy loves bird watching from this window, which overlooks the fir in the backyard!
Now that Dougy’s not hogging the wand toy, Andy doesn’t want to play anymore. What’s the point?

We’ve given up on any toy that involved a stick, string, and toy. Kommando Kitty almost immediately chews through the string to get at the toy. Snoops then takes the toy and adds it to her collection.
LOL! Smart kitty! That way she doesn’t have to share it or wait till you are in the mood to play!
Exactly!
🙂
They are so cute. Did you say they had some Birman in their blood? Do they make you laugh?
Yes, their father was a Birman and their mother a Persian, and, yes, they do make me laugh!
Cats are funny, toys are more fun when someone else wants to play with them. 🙂
Unless you are Dougy, then he puts his whole being into play, regardless of Andy! Andy is more fussy about things, and usually starts play after Dougy.
Nice pictures! That comfortable soft armchair says: Stay with me the whole day long! ;-))
It is a very comfortable chair. That is to say, sit in it, and I guarantee you will be asleep within minutes!
😀 Sit in it, take a soft, warm cat (Andy) on the belly and never ever get up!
AQndy would freak out, I fear. He associates being held with getting a dose of medicine. I try to mix in holding him for no reason but petting him and massaging his shoulders and bridge of his nose, but he is a clever little guy, not fooled by gestures! Dougy just isn’t a cat that likes to be held either. They are getting better, letting me hold them 10 seconds at a time instead of three, but it still is a short moment!
The shots of Andy are priceless! Great shots! 🙂
Thanks! I was pleased to get more photos of Andy today. He’s a cute kitty, but hard to photograph.
I noticed that. You seem to have better luck with Dougy. So it’s nice to see Andy so clearly. I love those faces! 😀
I’m not sure why Dougy is easier to photograph unless it’s because he more often is in good to reasonably good light. Andy tends to be in dark or highly contrasty scenes (like sitting in a window). Anyway, I was pleased to get some decent photos of Andy today for a change! He has a really sweet face and photographs well if the light allows!
It think you’re right. Dougy is is usually on your desk by the lamp and gets better light. Both are adorable. 🙂
Dougy’s nestled by my mouse arm as I (try to) type!
LOL, speak of the devil! 🙂
Yeah! and he took up more space than he needed, making mousing virtually impossible! I had to “evict” him in the end. (He hates being held for any length of time, so all I have to do is pick him up and hold him. He makes a hasty retreat then, and I get my space back!)
LOL, Oh boy can I relate!!! 😀
With your herd of cats, I suspect my experience barely ranks as a problem!
Dougy tends to stay in better light than his brother. Andy has a really cute face, though, and I like taking his photo when I can!
