Yes, today is like every other day. Andy doesn’t want to take his medicine, so he takes evasive action. Or so he thinks!
It’s so cute when cats in full view think they are hiding if they can’t see you! But the joke’s on you, dear Andy! Open wide!

Itis the opposite when some people in a group think to be pictured when they see the photographer! 🙂
Yes, young children in particular are notorious for that!
Every day, another challenge for you and the little guy!
Keeps us young. (Yeah, sure!) Actually, sometimes I think Andy doesn’t mind this business as much as he makes out because he doesn’t really struggle to get away from me once I catch him.
Ali has a spot she thinks she is hidden in and her whole hind end hangs out. She is always surprised when I catch her.
Yeah! Andy used to hide under a bed that way, with the same response as Ali’s when I plucked him up! He finally figured out that he needed to turn the other way so his hind end didn’t give him away, but it took quite a time before that happened!
Aw Doug, your kitties are adorable!!! I love the adventures of Andy receiving his melds, bless him! 😊
Thanks, Ritu! They are soft as cashmere, too, so not only are they cute, they are snuggable! (They are still at an age where they don’t want to be held very long, but that’s slowly changing.)
I did not know that cats hid their faces like that to avoid being seen, lol. That is a hoot! I also noticed the NG DVD set. I love NG! I bet that is a fabulous collection.
Yeah, that’s something Andy does that I find especially charming (and helpful!). The National Geographic DVD set is reasonably priced and regularly updated for a small charge for the download. I think I paid $70 for the complete set up to 2010 (at the time I got it), and the updates are something like $10. I guarantee this is much handier than saving tons of old magazines! Plus, you can print from the DVD’s. They have an excellent search function, and it is fun calling up every article ever published there since 1888 on a given subject, knowing you have easy access to those articles. I find the advertising especially interesting.
I wish my dogs would have done that but they always ran into small areas that I could not get them out of! I use to collect the NG magazines, ugh! I ended up removing the pictures from each and throwing the rest away when I had to move. I just could not move all those heavy magazines. The DVD set sounds fantastic. I really love that magazine. I will have to look into it and watch for sales.

The set’s available several places, including Amazon (most expensive at a little more than $60). It’s well worth the money if you enjoy the magazine!
Thanks so much Doug! It was very kind of you to go to the trouble of looking that up. Much appreciated!
No problem at all! You are welcome!
I had the National Geographic theme music playing in my head the time I was reading this. 🙂
I highly recommend the complete NG DVDs, and it’s OK to hum the television theme song while exploring issues from 1888 through now.
FUN! 🙂
Since you have an advertising background (that’s what my major was at the Unioversity of Nebraska — English/Journalism/Advertising Copywriting), you may find the historic advertising especially interesting. I also found the articles about the Axis countries before, during, and after WWII informative in ways history books aren’t.
I’ve always loved National Geographic. My parents had a subscription to the magazine all the years I was growing up. The weekly show was a family tradition to watch. Hence my posts, “Eastern Townships Geographic” 😉
Me, too! I still get it, and after I read the magazines I give them to the care center for the elderly residents to enjoy. It’s one of my favorite publications.
I should consider getting a subscription and doing the same thing. 🙂
I used to save them, but that became a housekeeping p[roblem. That’s another reason I’m glad I spent a little on the DVD set. You’d have to build an addition to the home to store all those issues since the first in 1888 otherwise!
