Post 783: impatience met patiently…

The kitties let me know when they are ready for attention, be it for play, loving, or food.

Andy comes up to me and goes [pat-pat-pat] on my arm while giving me a look of extreme anxiety: “I won’t let you know what I want, but I want it now!”

Dougy has another approach. He stretches out directly in my path. I have to step over him to move from one are to the next. When I get closer, he gets up, walks back and forth in front of me, making sure he gets maximum expression of his intent across: “I won’t tell you what I want, but I want it now!”

Here, Dougy makes sure I can't leave the bathroom without stumbling over him!

I guess the message is the same, just the delivery is different. After it’s delivered, it’s up to me to figure out what the little darlings want or need.

  1. Kind of like Dougy in the bathroom doorway, I like to walk in front of my moms while they’re going up or down the stairs – that’s the best time to catch them for pets!

  2. I like that “I won’t tell you what I want, but I want it now!” It’s so true, but luckily their needs are pretty simple, food, fun, pats …
