I did it again. Yesterday, I made the mistake of turning on TCM Channel, and the next thing I knew it was…um…Monday!? Yep! And I can’t even tell you what I watched, but it must have been compelling because I see I didn’t post yesterday.
I’ll tell you how bad it is. Andy and Dougy are more than happy to be left alone when I want to play with them, but heaven forbid I leave them alone for my reasons (or lack of reasons…)! What’s a kitty to do? Well, they stare at me. Andy from the cat tree. Dougy at my foot or any handy perch.
I’ve told you about his “annoying meow“, you know. Not the cute kitty meow, but the one he puts on to, well, annoy me into doing cat things he wants to do. Like play with Neko toys, endlessly. Or rub his ears and muzzle…mmmmm! Or scritch his head and in between his eyes, a guarantee to make him drool! (Really!)
So Dougy sat nearby, doing his “annoying meow“. It really works because it is really, really annoying!
This time, like every time, Andy stared at me and Dougy nagged me with his “annoying meow“. We weren’t going to sit through another Japanese movie with captions, no sir! And neither was I, if they could help it. Not when kitties wanted attention…because I was ignoring them instead of them ignoring me.
Needless to say, Dougy won the battle, and I turned off the second Japanese movie. Andy joined in at his leisure.
Oh, it is a treacherous business living with one cat. But two…?! Hide the money!
MOL 😸
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again your cats are just too cute! O look at the bundles of fluff!
Thanks! They are soft and cuddly, though neither kitty likes to be held for very long. I hope they become for cuddly as they get older, and there is some evidence they are comfortable being held a fraction of a second longer than before…! Dougy hates to be held on his back, but Andy is comfortable held that way, and seems to prefer it.
Awwww Andy thinks he’s a baby!
Aw! He is a baby! He’s really very sweet, if very shy. Dougy is the more bold of the two, and is bigger.
A new carpet, or a new cat? 🙂
A good carpet cleaner is a third alternative, and I recently bought one. I hope it is as effective as the information about it suggests it is.
The cats have to be better than Japanese movies. Priorities !! 😉
I don’t know…there are some really good Japanese movies, and the kitties sometimes are very bad indeed!
Aren’t we all?
I’m not as destructive of furniture and carpets as the boys are….!
I wondered why there was no post yesterday- I should have guessed 🙂 Try living with 15.
I try foir one a day, but sometimes I hit a dry spell where I have no ideas for a post or just feel too lazy to put on up. The one I posted today I actually prepared yesterday evening. That’s the ideal: have one or more in reserve!
I know that living with 2 Siamese can be quite trying at times. Kali has the talking down pat. If, that fails….barf….guaranteed to get my attention. The trick is not to overdo it or she’ll be taken to the vet. Shoko does not talk much….just when I’m
trying to grab some shut eye. This quiet girl decides to talk my ear off. Furthermore she has been craving some lovin’ that I have inconsiderately not given her. So the teeth rub against my skin which is a lot better than the love bite that scares the hell out of me when I’m asleep. Having two is a challenge.

Different cats, different approaches to getting attention! One of my poops on the carpet when he’s upset. I’m going to end up paying for a new one at this rate…!
You tell me … Living with two since 2011.
People who live with more than two have my sympathy! Love the little guys, but they can be a handful.
Tom from catsatthebar has 19 … Don’t know how he survives without going insane.
No kidding! That’s a lot of cats. On the other hand, his blog always has interesting photos of at least one of his cats. They seem to have free run of the yard.
But they also seem to occupy his bed …
…and every other place! Tom’s lucky the horses he photographs so beautifully for his other blog don’t occupy his place as much as the cats. LOL!
I find it hard to find a place for myself with my two kitties – Tom is sleeping with about 5 of them. And my bed is not small (1,6m x 2,20m)
I’m grateful my two p[refer to sleep in kitty dens they’ve made in the house. Dougy sometimes stops by to sleep with me, but not for long.
