Andy and Dougy adore me. Or at least they grovel and rub and purr and wrap their tails around my legs. Yeah, they adore me! And that’s a problem when both want my attention but don’t want to share me.
Never mind. Dougy decided he had cat business elsewhere. He walked past us and Andy got all the attention to himself.
I totally understand. Many times, Patches and Rusty are next to me on the loveseat, and then Romeo comes along. There’s no room for him, so he is relegated to the cat furniture right next to me. 🙂
No fights, eh?! They must have their respective positions well established in you home!
I never thought of it that way, but it sounds reasonable. Ha
Hard to say. Three cats is one more at once than I’m used to. Andy and Dougy sort priorities out regularly, but both has a handful of sacred spots the other leaves alone (mostly…!).
I know what you mean. Everything is quiet and serene around here until Shoko takes it into her head that she wants attention and Kali’s had enough. Kali just drops the little hairs as soon as she sees Shoko headed her way.

I had both cats hanging out with me until a moment ago. Dougy had to get a drink, but he’ll be back. Andy, as usual, is on top of my computer, watching me type. (He’s usually a good boy, though, and doesn’t cause any problems while there.)
I like it when both are with me at the same time. This is rather rare as Shoko will look for a play fight with Kali and Kali is all insulted and wants to leave….I can tell by her hissing!
Off and on during the day, I have them both with me. Usually, if I’m on the computer or when I watch television in the front room, both will eventually take up favorite stations by me.
I find sometimes they sleep with me…sometimes they don’t. Makes me wonder what I’m doing when they decide not to sleep with me. Like, do they come in, take a look at me and then think…no, she’s moving all over the bed and I’m too tired for this crap?
My two don’t like to sleep with me, though Dougy sometimes will make a “guest appearance” for a moment or two, lie down next to me, then move on once I’f scritched him some….!
Bursting out laughing!!
I’m flattered by their attention, but grateful I can’t smell cat stink!
Love with two cats sometimes is hard to handle ! 🙂

There is a little sibling rivalry some days, for sure!
I sometimes have that situation while in bed, caressing the tom – the female comes up – between us! – and rubs herself on me – and gives the tom a sniff as if she wanted to say “Hey, still around? Be gone, mate.”
I know the ritual! Exactly! The boys usually settle things amicably, but there are times they tussle, too.
Andy really has that “ears back, watch out” look about him. It was smart of Dougy to saunter right by.
For sure! Even I knew better than to encourage Dougy to stop by!
MOL!😸 Not that’s kat love!
I got a big dose of the same from Dougy this morning, too, before I got ready to leave for my volunteer spell at the museum. I think they must have some sense of what day it is that I’m gone half the day because I get more attention on Wednesdays than most other days.
I’ll bet they do – we kats know more than our humans think!!😺
You cats watch us day in and day out, so I’m not surprised!
Hehehe!! Didn’t you know we work fur the NSA, CIA, DHS and all those other alphabet agencies?😼
I don’t know about Andy and Dougy, but the tuxedo cat Pepe across the way in the next lane my brother and I identified as Spy Cat because he always is looking our way.
Oh yes, Secret Agent #433,6575B!!
You know him…! (He’s a very pretty kitty, and very well behaved.)
Well of course!
Glad that worked out-this time 🙂
Me, too! I thought I might have to tug someone’s tail if he didn’t cool it!
Not to worry
You are their source of food
Shame! They do it out of kitty love, of course! LOL! 🙂
