Poor Andy! He and Dougy had a disagreement of some sort today and Andy spent most of the day avoiding his brother or hiding up high.

Andy spent a lot of the day on top of my dresser.

Dougy was on the prowl…!
I hope the boys work it out by tomorrow morning because they have an appointment with their groomer and they have a reputation for being good boys….
How lucky can a couple of kitties get? Personal groomer? Some of us should be so lucky!!!! 🙂
Ironically, I spend at least 10 times more on their grooming each year than I do on my own….! LOL! Before I started taking them to the groomer, they used to have terrible tangles and mats in their hair, especially behind their ears and in their arm pits. The grooming helps control that proclivity. Also, Dougy used to have a problem with poop getting caught in his butt hair. Poor kitty! The only way to deal with it was to soak his butt in the sink and manually worked the poop ball out of the fur. He was NOT amused!!! (Nor was I, for that matter!)
Oh, that usually does not last long. My two fight one minute and are best buddies the next – when it is time to pester me for more snacks.
I bring out the wand toys and tire them out. I think part of their problem is boredom from lack of play. Anyway, once I play with them, they behave nicely again!
That first one is so nice!
Most of the time they both are good boys, but they have their moments….!
Oh, I’m sure they will forgive each other by then!
All’s well now! I wore them down with wand toys. Next: I catch the little buggers and take them to their groomer for haircuts and baths! Woo hoo!
MOL!😸
Yes, I feolt very clever when I rounded them up. Andy was a limp doll (and a little grumpy for being awakened rudely…!) and Dougy was not sure if he should try to get away from me or submit to a good scritching. Anyway, I got them to the groomer at the right time and Athena (their groomer) helped me get them out of the car and into the shop. Dougy, as usual, was whiney about being in the carrier, but Andy was his stoic little self.
MOL! 😸 Is the groomer still alive?
Yes, she is! and she is wonderful! Actually, all the staff at the groomers are very good with cats and dogs. Though their primary business is dog grooming, they do cats if they are nice ones. My boys are nice ones….! (Mostly!)
Do they hand out treats?😼
Yes, they send the boys home with a little bag of kitty treats. (Dry food of some sort….)
Well now – I think I have a Matted spot….
I am pleased the boys rarely get them any more. Before I started taking them to the groomers, they was a mess of mats and tangles, even though I brushed them.
I’m very blessed – my fur is very silky and the human brushes me several times a day – but I never get mats – she thinks it’s because my fur is silkier than most kitty coats…?
I think there could be something to that! The boys’ tail hair is very silky and it never tangles or mats though it is very long.
Yes – and “the Judge”- (the neighborhood kat mob boss)- his fur is very thick and a little coarser than mine – and though his human tries to keep him brushed (when he will tolerate it)- he has mats on his chest and belly – I’ve never had that purroblem!
Today’s post shows how fine Andy’s tail hair is. Dougy’;s is the same way. As noted elsewhere, they never get mates in their tail hair. Strange!
Well, it’s also purrobably not as thick as the rest of their fur!
That could be.
I just may need a groomer….(Hehehe)
It makes a difference….!
I’ll bet it does!
🙂
