Dougy is very excited today!
The forecast was for rain, and it drizzled a bit over night. The grass is wet, as with dew.
A bit anticlimatic, eh, Dougy? Maybe you’ll get some snow, soon!

Ali alway gets snow in a bowl that we bring in for her and she puts her paw in the bowl and tries to push the snow around. She can not understand why i melts and her paw gets wet.
What a great idea! I’ve brought in a small handful before for Dougy, but the bowlful sounds like a winner. I’ll try it and try to remember to make a video or photograph it!
I like that Doug! Shoko is happy to see snow but not Kali. Kali won’t go out unless we shovel first and then she’ll only stand on the shovelled parts.

Dougy freaks out when there’s a drop of water anywhere, but doesn’t make the connection right away that snow is another form of water. Andy is (I think) more clever than his brother and knows snow is wet because it’s water!
haha…Dougy is different…we like different. We strive to be just a wee bit different than the ordinary cat.
Our little furry friends all have their own personalities, that’s for sure!
Snow??? No way! 🙂
Not yet…! But it sure flt like it might snow yesterday. Regartdless, if you scroll down to the comments, I left links to four videos featuring Andy and Dougy experiencing snow. Mostly Dougy, though, since he’s my resident “snow bunny”!
Purrseidon would be excited, too. She LOVES playing in the rain and jumping in puddles.
Dougy loves the snow until he remembers it is just another form of water.! LOL! His fur is so thick, though, that it takes a bit of time before anything gets through to his skin. Anydy doesn’t care for the snow, though he always is curious about it. His thing is the shower. Any time I take one, he’s there, watching….!
I don’t know what Purrseidon would think of snow … we don’t get much of that in Florida. If she figured out it was another form of water, I suspect she would love it.
I’m not sure why Dougy finds it so exciting, but he really likes snow!

The tomcat of a friend of mine went under the shower with her boyfriend.
Ha! Ha! That was one brave kitty! I don’t imagine he stayed there very long, though. Or did he?
He liked to sit at the side, but he wasn’t easily impressed by water anyway. I can use a water-spray-bottle on my cats and they learn what they shouldn’t do – not so much for Paul. Paul did not mind being sprayed at!
This comment reminds me I was going to get a spray bottle to use on Dougy when he scratches furniture. You brought that up earlier!
Snow don’t want no sticken snow
I can do without it, too. I like big, fluffy snow, but only till it hits the ground, then I want it to melt fast.
What eyes!
His prettiest feature, I think!
We cannot do nothing, cats do not like the wet !! 🙂
In friendship

It takes a little time before water penetrates Dougy’s thick fur. Until that happens, he is OK with snow and rain. He especially likes snow, though!
