Andy and Dougy get very interested when I bring in the mail. If there’s a package, too, their day is made!
Dougy isn’t sure, but he thinks that package must be over here by the door.
Andy knows better!
It, whatever “it” is, came in that black plastic bag that’s in the little box.
Andy watches the bag. You never know…!
Andy was on the right path. The package had a cat bed in it. After I took the cat bed out, I stuffed junk mail and trash in the plastic bag. Andy didn’t notice, I guess!
I’ll set the bed up and see if either cat uses it. It’s like a tube, very soft, and looks like it’d be snuggly-warm for the lucky cat that figures it out.
Now, doesn’t that look like a perfect kitty fortress?
So far Andy stuck his nose in it a little and Dougy ignored it. A great success!

I love to play in the trash
Both Andy and Dougy would invite you over for a playdate in the trash, then!
I reckon Andy is odds-on favourite to make use of it first. Then again you never know. Cheers.
Actually, when I set it down on the floor, Andy did check it out but he only stuck his nose in a little way to sniff. Dougy didn’t seemed interested. It wouldn’t surprise me if they both ignore it. Cats often have favorite sleeping spots that defy human understanding. Dougy, for example, likes to sleep on the bare floor by my shower. Andy likes to sleep on the lid of the washing machine or inside the clothes drier. Of course, regular kitty beds have little appeal!
Hehe… so right Sir.
I hope you have more luck with the cat bed than me. Every time I have ordered one from Amazon, she loves the box and not the bed.
I do know what you mean! I bought a really cute fish-shaped kitty bed when the boys were kittens that they never went in. I’m a bit concerned this new one will meet a similar fate. One saving grave: it zips apart to make a pad or together to make a tube-shaped “cave”. If it doesn’t get used the second way, I probably can unzip it and put it on the washing machine lid (one of his favorite spots) to give Andy a little nicer sleeping surface..
One bed for two cats, Doug? You want to record the next sibling -rivalry battle, don’t you? 🙄
Two cats probably will reject it. Andy likes his spots, and Dougy would just as soon doze in his plastic tub or that new favorite box. If either cat shows interest in it, I might get another one like it. I’m not holding my breath!
We are all waiting.
Philosophically or to see the cat bed!? LOL! Andy must be, too because he is at my feet, quietly observing me.
I don’t get filosofical. I wanna see the cat in the bed and asleep. and purring.
LOL! I want to see the same thing, but I have some doubt either cat will actually use it. As noted in another comment, it zips together to make a tube “cave” or unzips to make a pad. I think Andy would use it as a a pad on his favorite night time sleeping spot, the lid of the washing machine. It’s give him a more comfortable spot to sleep.
Incidentally, here’s a video of Andy sleeping that relates to your comment in a way:
