My neighbor said he’d put up the bird feeder outside my window for my boys, and, nice guy that he is, he did just that!
It takes birds a bit of time to find the feeder in the first place, then determine that it is safe to come in to feed.
Andy waits for those fat, juicy tidbits to fly in!
You wouldn’t think having a big black kitty staring at you from the inside of the window would inspire confidence, yet the birdies throw caution to the wind and fly in for a little treat.
Andy will be there…!
The birds do not know there is a glass between Andy and us .
I would not want to make Andy upset but he plays the scarecrow !!! 🙂 Do not tell him, please !

He is very, very still when he’s “hunting” window birds! Well, mostly he is. Sometimes he gets excited and chirps like cats do when they are excited, but mostly he doesn’t move. The birds seem to know he;’s behind a barrier, though.

You big teaser. For me it’s like walking from the station to the doctor and I have to walk past a showroom of exotic cars.
Two ways to know there are cats in the house: A kitty in the window or venetian blinds that are tattered and broken at the bottom!
Aww yes same here with Ali. We have a planter in front of our window and she lives there these days chattering away to the birds. She has been feeling pretty good these days. Ali is rooting Andy on and saying one of these days maybe one will fly in the window.
I suspect both Andy and Dougy would snatch a bird if it flew by. They are mild kitties, but they are, after all, kitties! That’s another good reason to keep them as inside cats.

Not for lack of trying! It won’t take too long before that screen needs to be repaired. I’ve replaced the screening once before in that window since Andy is a screen climber.
I had to put in the strongest screening because of our squirrels tearing the screen. Since I put them up – no squirrels climb on them – go figure…?
I believe it! I may have to do that with this window before its over. So far, though, things are going well. Maybe the boys will be satisfied to be inches away without having to climb the screen. Then, too, screen climbing probably will chase the birds away, something the boys are clever enough to realize. (I think!)
Who was the first to say that cats actually liked all that chattering? Maybe that’s why they go after birds!!?
LOL! An interesting thought, GP! I’ll have to watch them the next time to see if I can detect any irritation.
