I think I licked whatever it was I was dealing with this week. I feel a lot better today, though I haven’t figured out if my stomach truly is ready for something other than toast and jam or I just think it is. We’ll find out…!
Other than that, it’s snowing here. Andy just noticed that, and decided the falling snow is more interesting than watching me. Go figure!
Lovely and so cute!!!

Thanks!
Oh, you have got flu? Hope you are feeling better!
I thought I was over it yesterdsay, but food didn’t sound good. I had a cup of chamomile tea and some bread without anything on it, and that was about all I could handle. Today, I haven’t tried eating anything yet, but feel very hungry. I hope that is a good sign!
It definitely is. Get well soon!
I’m into day two of feeling decent!
Glad to hear it! I was sick all the week, couldn’t lift my head off pillow 🙁
Glad to have it out of the way (I hope!) for the holidays, though….!
True! I am still not well, it is the first time I opened my laptop in a week.
Have a great holiday time!
Hope you feel better soon. It isn’t agreeable being sick any time of year, but it seems like it is worse around holidays.
Thank you! Got back to my feet today 🙂
Good!
Glad you are feeling better Doug! Cats are great nurses and doctors.
Lots of rain and it is in the mid to hight 30s today. Snow up in the mountains.
We got snow here, too, with temperatures at freezing most of the day. It wasn’t a day for me to go out! Of course, I still wasn’t 100% yet, so wasn’t tempted. Dougy continued to hover around me all day. Andy spent less time hovering, but that is partially because he knows he’ll get a mouthful of medicine at some point if he does! Ha! Poor kitty! I try to give him hugs and a pleasant time (skritiching and talking to him about what a good boy he is…) along with the kitty treats and medicine. It’s helped a lot with his anxiety, but he still resists.
Take care of yourself Doug and I am sure nurse Andy is taking good care of you. I am happy you are feeling better.
Even though I’m pretty much back to normal today, Dougy and Andy are still hanging out with me a lot more than usual..
so glad you’re feeling better! enjoy the toast and jam and anything else! Woof!
I had plain bread and chamomile tea yesterday, and that settled my stomach.
I’m glad you’re back to feeling better! 🙂
Feeling better, but I’ve fought a bad off-and-on nose bleed all morning. It’s like a slaughterhouse around here, all the bloody towels. Ick!
I wonder what the heck is going on? And snowed in to boot! Be careful, we are worried about you. Liz & Maggie
I’m doing well, even though I’ve been sick and had the bloody mess to deal with yesterday. (Seriously, I’m OK!)
Well…..all right. 😄
But I still am feeling much better!
If you had a choice between snow or you………..
Me, no doubt.
Why of course he is – it COULD be some Fancy version of white nip falling from the sky!!😹
His response to it suggests it is pretty exciting to Dougy, at least. Andy is interested, but not enough to step in it.
Well yes- that’s flippin COULD STUFF!!😹
And wet. As soon as he realizes it’s wet, he becomes less interested in it. Andy handles water better.
I love to play in snow and rain!! 😺
Andy is fascinated by what I do in the shower, though he runs like acid dropped on him if i accidentally (“accidentally”) get any water on him. LOL!
Mol!😸 I do the same thing. I can’t imagine for my life why the human would WANT to get wet on purrpose! (Moron)
It does require a leap of imagination!
Mol! 😹
It has been snowing here too. The snow has stopped and Shoko has been out running around in it. Kali stayed inside and yelled at me while I decorated. She is a fuss pot.
Jean
Andy’s still watching the snow, but Dougy is sleeping through one of his favorite things, fresh snowfall.
haha…they are funny! Kali sees the snow and goes rushing out only to turn around and stare in the sliding glass door. She looks so pitiful when she does this. Really!!
Andy stoips at the door. Dougy wants to go out to sniff around. Louie the ginger cat, their predecessor, was a big one for snow. He loved being outside.
They do get used to it. Kali is a prima dona but even she likes to be out in the snow…if I’m there.
It’s snowing right now. I probably should open the door so the boys can do their snow thing.
Glad to hear you are feeling better
I’m glad I’m headed into the weekend feeling better, too!
You are probably not at the portal of death right now if your kitties leave you well alone 😉
It’s when they stand over me, licking (that is “tasting”!) me that I will worry. LOL!
No we don’t want that to happen! :0
For sure….!
Do your two ever lick your ears in the morning? I find that most creepy when Oli does it… Lol
No, though Dougy sometimes licks my hand when I skritch him on the shoulder. Though both of my cats are mild-mannered, pleasant kitties, they aren’t especially affectionate most of the time. Dougy is the more demonstrative of the two, that said, and he’ll run on me and wrap his tail around my arm when i pet him.
I’m not too sure if it’s affection or hunger that’s driving Oli. That’s my worry. 😉
Ha! Ha! I had a bad bloody nose this morning, and there are lots of bloody paper towels all over the place — a regular abattoir atmosphere. The boys have shown an unhealthy interest in all that blood, sniffing, licking their chops…!
Oh oh!
It was a mess! Fortunately for me, it finally stopped, thought I still get clots of blood when I blow my nose. The main concern, though, is the bleeding is done. Ick!
My family suffers from high blood pressure so I have to be careful with signs of nose bleeding as it may be related to that. And if I get it l, often it won’t stop for ages…
I have a chronic disease (Wegener’s granulomatosis) that affects the medium and small blood vessels. You can google it for the grim detail, but the short of it is it destroys those vessels, and I hemorrhage. Since I had kidney, lung, and sinus involvement, those areas were especially messed up by the active disease. I’ve been in remission for 10 years, more or less, and incidents like the nose bleed that won’t stop could signal an active case again if other symptoms occur simultaneously. In my instance, too, I’m inclined to have abnormally low blood pressure. Once, it was so low when they measured it at the hospital that they repeated the measurement. “You shouldn’t be conscious!” the nurse exclaimed. I was a little light-headed, but didn’t notice any specific issues that alarmed me. My typical reading is something like 95 over 59. It seems to be a family thing on my father’s side..
Oh wow! O.O yeah Google hat too many details on that… 😡
Actually, it nearly killed me in 2003, but I’m too thick to let a little thing like death slow me down. LOL!
LMAO. Well I’m sure your two boys are as glad as us that you are tough and survived it!!! Can’t imagine how scary that must be tho ;(
Dougy shows some anxiety when I don’t get out of bed when he thinks I should. Andy looks in on me, but doesn’t hop on my bed like Dougy.
Haha. Sounds like Dougy is like Oli!
It actually is a bit touching to know you little guy is worried about how you are….!
Indeed 🙂
I never expected it from a cat, so it is all the more moving….!
