Post 990: Andy doesn’t watch kitty videos…not when there are birdies outside!
“Hey, Andy! There’s a kitty on the screen…!”
“Not now. There’s a birdie outside I’m watching.”

I have to agree. This time of year, too, you sometimes get wonderful surprises. I, for example, am the first Nebraskan ever (or since) to spot a phainopepla at my backyard feeders. That was an astonishing quarter century ago. Nebraska records go back to Lewis and Clark. It is an acknowledged record with the Nebraska Ornithologists’ Union Records Committee, the official masters of the list of accepted bird records. I’ve had a few other less interesting if rare birds pop up, too: Golden-crowned sparrow and Varied thrush are two species of West Coast birds that managed to make it to Western Nebraska for me to spot. The amazing part is they all showed up at ordinary bird feeders in my backyard, something some hardcore birders found pissy since they thought these rare birds should only expose themselves to professionals and serious tickers. Or some such….!
There’s nothing more exciting than watching the birds

Sort of liking theater over a movie. 🙂
A good analogy!
Mol!!😸
Nothing like the Bird Channel on Kitty TV!
My boys prefer the real deal. I can’t get them to watch television.
The Bird Channel is what we call the window where they sit and watch the feeder. Kitty TV is any window in our house.
Yes, very favored here, too!
Priorities!
They have strong preferences, spoiled kitties that they are!
Well, they are cats. Deities from ancient egypt.
“Hear us RAWR!”
I like the paw draped over the edge of the computer screen. Very debonair, Andy.
If anything, the boys rule the roost! They do what they want, when they want.
I’d never have guessed that in a million years! 🙂
Geez! I hope I didn’t tell on them….! LOL!
