I personally think Andy is the prettier of the two brothers, though Dougy is the generally more out-going one. Even as kittens, Andy was restrained; Dougy was off on adventures, following his nose.

Andy and I miss Dougy
We’ve had two sets of cats and we always call one the pretty one and one the smart one as a joke.

I’m so glad to hear from you. I was worried that you hadn’t posted for a while
Yes, I’ve had a rough couple months, but I still have a ways to go to be fully on-line and functional again. Anyway, I appreciate how people stayed with me though I was gone. I even gained a few new followers, though I think that was largely thanks to Chris and Liz on their blogs.
No way!! You need glasses my friend. Andy is a pretty boy, yes but so is Dougy and Dougy has the personality of a badboy fun cat. You gotta give credit where its due.
Shoko
Both are pretty. Andy just has a cuter face by my standards. Dougy isn’t less a kitty than his brother for having a flatter, more Persian kitty look.
You know them way better than I ever will so I defer to your judgement. Dougy seems to be a character kitty and I love that. Shoko is a character whereas Kali is loving, pretty and always available for a cuddle but not Shoko. She doesn’t cuddle, she plays and investigates. Shoko will try on clothes where Kali gets right offended when I pull a bit of clothing out. She jumps up, gives me a dirty look and starts out of the room, turns back and gives me a “die like NOW” look.
Interesting how different they can be, isn’t it?! I’d say you picked up on they two personalities here. Andy is becoming more of a cuddle kitty, which is nice because he is (as is Dougy) cashmere soft and just right for cuddling on a cold winter day!
I wish Shoko liked to be cuddled but she lays just so the tips of my fingers can barely touch her in bed. Kali has arthritis in her hip and I’m careful not to touch her hip but she gets so close!
Andy lets me hold him on his back like a baby, but Dougy freaks out till he can make himself upright again.
None of my business but I would say it would probably be best not to let the other brother know that one of them is a favorite. Animals can sense things with far greater accuracy than we humans can — by up to a Thousand times more intensely according to some claims.
They both get lots of loving, believe it! Dougy loves to be brished and Andy prefers to have his face and eats skritched.

Thanks! I think so, too! Andy has a pretty face. Dougy has prettier eyes. Both are cashmere-soft and delightful kitties to have around. They make me laugh!

Quite a bit, yes! Andy tends to be better behaved than Dougy, but Dougy can be more entertaining because he has that ornery streak.They both have endearing qualities and I would be sad to lose either one.
I can imagine the look on Dougy’s face as he read this! Hahahaha.

He knows he can get his photo put in if he cooperates with me, but he reacts to the flash or the possibility of a flash by closing his pretty eyes. Andy is much easier to photograph.

This is true. Old kitties often look pretty much that same as when they were younger, only they may have medical issues that make them a bit less active. Mostly, though, they keep their good looks!
