Post 1056: Andy casts a suspicious eye…

The boys continue to give each other the stink eye, though they aren’t beating each other up today. Whatever the reason – the season, the hot temperatures, some kitty dispute I don’t understand – the boys have spent the past couple of weeks being irritable with each other. Some days it’s flying fur. Other days it’s just casual swats at the other brother when passing by. Today, well, it’s treating each other with suspicion, but no physical contact.

"Suspicious...!" thinks Andy.

“Suspicious…!” thinks Andy.

A bit later, Andy sprawls on the floor by me at the computer. He's relaxed, yet he's aware Dougy's a couple feet away on the cat recliner!

Dougy's watching Andy watching Dougy watching Andy. They both know where the other brother is!

  1. The heat might be it. Mine are a bit grumpy and they have really separated out so no spave invasion occurs. Except of course for sprawling all over me, I guess I feel cool to them.

  2. MOL We keep track of each other too. Kali tried to bite my paw today. Mom saw it. I did nothing, I say NOTHING to deserve this kind of abuse. perhaps Kali is remembering when I tried to bite her butt….yesterday. What a memory….she’s like an elephant. MOL

    Shoko

  3. The boys look good Doug! Our Nano keeps a wary eye on Lucio, who plays too rough sometimes. They all get along, but sometimes Lucio just needs a good workout, and goes looking for Nano.

  4. That tummy is so cute 🙂 Well, they are both adorable, but I love kitty tummies. Have you tried a feliway diffuser? I am not a big fan of plug-ins, but they have a spray too and it does seem to keep everyone pretty mellow.

    • No, I haven’t felt a need for the most part until recently. That aggressiveness has melted away, however, but I will keep it in mind for the future if I see aggressiveness over-taking the house again!
