The boys continue to give each other the stink eye, though they aren’t beating each other up today. Whatever the reason – the season, the hot temperatures, some kitty dispute I don’t understand – the boys have spent the past couple of weeks being irritable with each other. Some days it’s flying fur. Other days it’s just casual swats at the other brother when passing by. Today, well, it’s treating each other with suspicion, but no physical contact.
I love that top picture of Andy. It’s so expressive.
LOL! I hadn’t seen that one in awhile. I have to agree with you.
The heat might be it. Mine are a bit grumpy and they have really separated out so no spave invasion occurs. Except of course for sprawling all over me, I guess I feel cool to them.
Well, cat body temperature is normal at 102°F vs. ours at 98.6°. That’s a good spread!
MOL We keep track of each other too. Kali tried to bite my paw today. Mom saw it. I did nothing, I say NOTHING to deserve this kind of abuse. perhaps Kali is remembering when I tried to bite her butt….yesterday. What a memory….she’s like an elephant. MOL
Shoko
AI have no doubt you were innocent as a flower, sweetie…!
Of course I was….* bats big blue eyes* MOL
LOL!
soooo lovely 🙂 I wanted to kiss… Thanks and Love, nia
He’s a boy cat and doesn’t like to be kissed! LOL!
…. 🙂
Well, that doesn’t mean you can’t sneak a kiss on them when they aren’t paying attention….!
how nice!
just like my two
always know
the other’s doings 🙂
They do keep track of each other! I suspect, though, they put more effort into tracking me. You know, the guy who knows where the food and kitty toys are!
having a similar situation
with “watch dogs”,
i can relate 🙂
We do belong to them!
The boys look good Doug! Our Nano keeps a wary eye on Lucio, who plays too rough sometimes. They all get along, but sometimes Lucio just needs a good workout, and goes looking for Nano.
Yes, they are thriving!
Is it the heat?
They do notice it, and the air conditioner’s been turned on as much for their benefit ass mine this week!
That tummy is so cute 🙂 Well, they are both adorable, but I love kitty tummies. Have you tried a feliway diffuser? I am not a big fan of plug-ins, but they have a spray too and it does seem to keep everyone pretty mellow.
No, I haven’t felt a need for the most part until recently. That aggressiveness has melted away, however, but I will keep it in mind for the future if I see aggressiveness over-taking the house again!
Andy is so charming!
Thanks! I agree! He is a sweet little guy.
Maybe they are arguing about who will get the most birthday presents?
LOL! I bought some tuna in spring water for their birthday surprise. I know they like the water off of tuna, but this will be the first time they get human-quality tuna.
Spoiled much? 😉
They don’t think so!
Probably feel neglected.
Could be…
Poor baby.
And so this strange behavior continues … wonder how many other cats are acting in strange ways.
Me, too!
And you are watching them both 🙂
I don’t like it when they rip fur off each other, though there hasn’t been any physical harm (that is, blood and guts!) done. It doesn’t seem like play, though they play rough sometimes,
Full of energy 🙂
That they are, though the hot weather this week has taken the starch out of them – and me!
