Thanks for reminding me to avoid that on this blog this year! I’m trying not to engage in any political comments elsewhere, though I haven’t been totally successful. Lately, I’ve been censoring my feed on Facebook instead of responding to some outrageous postings. I even unfriended on person, something I’ve never done before, no matter how outrageous their posts. Ugh!
I made a news year’s resolution (sort of) to that effect and not respond to political posts. I have slipped up when people get the info wrong and blindly go into the fog, but then I stop myself again. This is going to be a rough year in respect to politics!!!!!
That’s where I step into the trap, too, GP. And, yes, with the incredible amount of distortions, lies, and reviving of old urban legends going on, one feels a moral responsibility to point the facts out.
I learned in the last presidential election, however, that trolls keep the ignorant filled up on talking points, that those talking points are carved in granite, and the ignorant really don’t care to change them. Very frustrating! I literally made myself sick trying to straighten out the record.
Anyway, America will get the president she deserves, whether he or she is the best person for the job.
Given the divisions in this country, regardless who gets in, the other side will be pissed for four years and not work with the winner. I fear that very much!

So, with this increased awareness of the trap today, I’ve made several comments that are extremely political on other’s blogs! A cool down is in order, and I promise myself I will get it right!
