The kitty boys have spent the past week sorting out which is top cat, with the attendant extra fur clumps on the carpet. No harm done, of course, other than to egos. (I think Andy won this round.) With that in mind, I was surprised when Dougy came onto the computer desk through Andy’s territory, stepped over Andy, and joined me on the lower shelf, Dougy’s spot since he was a wee fart.
Shortly after Dougy arrived, they both watched birds out the back window.

The flash alerted the boys to my intentions, so Dougy closed his eyes for this one. Of course!
I almost got a shot with eyes open. Well, close enough!

N0, I haven’t, though I am somewhat aware of it. Most of the time, the boys play well together. They’ve wrestled together since kittenhood (…which is what they were doing in that photo at the top of my blog.) Thought they get rough, I’m not certain they are fighting so much as discussing, roughly, who has priority over certain claimed territory. After a tussle, they return to getting along with each other. There never is any injury when one roughs up the other, just fur flying. Their fur is so thick, I never can tell where the fur came from on the cat.

The Persian mush-face still seems a bit odd to me after almost five years with the boys, but the nice part of Persians is they are very pleasant, mild cats!
Yes, they give me that look when I upset them. Of course, “ears back” lets me know they are really mad at me for stopping whatever kitty business they are up to!

My son has a cat like that. She can howl like I do not want to hear again.

I’m getting through it, but can’t find my drug list for the doctor. Of course, I’ve given that out to dozens of doctors in the same hospital (well, two!), so they should be able to piece things together.
HaH! Keep it on your computer and update it when needed with the date of the last update changed. I also keep the addresses on the same page. THEN, you can just print it out and when you find the “lost” one…you’ll know how old it is. Also, askz the Boyz. ~~dru~~
I started one just like that, then I went to dialysis the next day to find the nurses there (or maybe it’s our PA) make that updated list once a month for us patients. Better than mine, more comprehensive since it includes drugs they give me there that I don’t have at home. They feature those bits of information you note plus dosage and frequency, changes in dosage or frequency, date prescription was written, on whose authority, and date the prescription was cancelled. The report defines which are given me at dialysis by the nurses or taken at home. It even includes any OTC drugs like Tylenol I take plus strength. I fI used herbal drugs, that would be included to since there can be interactions between herbal and prescription drugs. I think I could simply scan the sheet (which is dated) and have a file I can use like the one you describe. (My circumstances are different than most people in that I have that three time a week contact with health care professionals who keep tons of data on each of us patients, then report back to us how we are doing. The drug list is a side benefit. Hey! Between us, I think we pretty much covered helpful ways to document our drugs! Some people put a copy in their billfold or purse, but I prefer to make a copy of my most recent dialysis clinic update and give that to the person collecting that sign-in information. I have an all-in-one machine, so it would make perfect sense to scan it the day it’s passed out, then I’d have the file you recommend to print out as needed. Some drugs have a lifetime limit you can take because they stay in the body, and that’s another potential use for the file – keeping track of you total intake!
You’re right Doug, that is FAR better than keeping your own. I know it is hard to keep track or even know what your given that isn’t everyday meds. Sooo keep asking the Boyz for where it is around the house cuz you knowx theyz got it somewherez. Your Friend ~~dru~~

How is that dialysis fistula? Are they using it now?
Yes, I bought a Dyson designed for pet owners after the vacuum I had proved incapable of picking up the cat hair. It would roll it into windrows I had to hand pick!
Anyway, the fistula is healing nicely, but today I have to have some side branches tied off to help increase blood flow to the fistula. The surgery is an out patient one, so I will be home by supper time. It will be a bit longer before the fistula can be used, but I’m almost to that point!
