Post 1085: Dougy explores possibilities to upset Andy…
The kitty boys tease each other some days, or beat each other up on others. Mostly, though, they live and let live.
Dougy spots Andy sleeping on the computer shelf. “Do I mess with him or not,” Dougy ponders….!
Good boy, Dougy! He decides to leave his brother alone.

Dougy is not a fat cat at all. I’m judging this based upon the last picture of him sitting sideways. I figured all Persians looked big because of all the fur but Dougy doesn’t. I imagine Andy looks similar turned sideways. I think cats are better off being a little thin. Heck, so are people for that matter.
They look sleek and thin after a grooming appointment. They are, in fact, ideal weight for their age and build. That was one thing I was concerned about after they were neutered: Would they become big fat blob-cats? Not if you follow veterinarian instructions on nutrition and play with them to keep them active!
Shoko is a good weight cause she plays outside and with me. Kali eats and doesn’t play. She watches me playing with the wand, dragging it behind me. She isn’t much fun but has always been like this. If, I get her up chasing after a feather, I’m happy. I feel guilty because of their deep love of Fancy Feast and not the better food but I can do nothing about it so I am doomed to feel ashamed of the girls taste buds. hehe
My cat Louie was a cheap cat food fan, too. I got him from the shelter as a 5 year old cat, so I didn’t have any influence on his tastes. He rejected the fancy vet-approved stuff, but loved the crap. LOL! On the other hand, my kitty brothers, Andy and Dougy, have been fed high quality vet-approved food from the start. I don’t know if they’d eat just anything, though they do seem pretty comfortable with variation in their food.
Given Dougy’s eyes, I’m guessing he just went off to ponder what way to mess with best. ~~dru~~
PS: When I went to bed late – late last night, and sat on my cat Tatt. My cat Tatt, he spat and spat until I told him that; although that “HE” is abed by 9, and I wait until next day. The pillow on this side is mine is and mine until I say.
Ah… Yes that’s typical siblings. Not just cat ones…
I try to get them to work it out through play with wand toys.
Is that kind of like giving a foam bat to a human? ~~dru~~
Yeah, I think that’s a good analogy!
Yeah that’s a good idea 😀
Wear them down works when they are in the mood to be playful, otherwise they wear themselves down chasing each other….!
Haha that is so true xD
You are a good boy Dougy- and Andy too.
They are a hoot to watch! I’m glad I agreed to take both brothers.
Thats what it is all about and good boy Dougy.
Actually, I lucked out to get two brothers who play well together.
He could still be waiting for a good moment.
I can guarantee you are right about that, Susan!

Not to wonder: Before the day was up, he and Andy tussled! Once they tussle, however, everyone’s fine with everyone, and they go about their ways.
I think Dougy was bored and was looking for some playtime, oh well…..
Could be! I judged him to be on the ornery scale based on earlier behavior that time.
