Andy thought he was getting away without his medicine tonight, but what happened was I fell asleep. Once he hopped up on the stacked carriers next to the recliner (“the kitty highway”), fell asleep himself, he didn’t notice I was now awake and stalking him!
He took his medicine like a big boy, so I rubbed his ears, muzzle, and nose, then gave him his kitty treats. He met me at the spot where I pass those our. Believe it!
Dougy, on the other hand, just lazed on his ottoman, amused, I think, that Andy “got his”, but all he got was lots of scritching and nose rubs every time he hopped on the recliner arm.
People visiting me are warned that if the sit in the recliner, they will be pestered to death by kitties hopping on the back and arms because, as noted, this is the kitty highway.
Glad he got his medicine. The cat highway is cute 🙂
I’m finding that I can catch him easily if he’s been sleeping on the carrier, so I sit in the recliner – at great risk since it is the cat highway… – and snatch him up with minimal effort. Then, since he is sleepy, he resists the medicine a bit less. Of course, I can wrap him in a towel I keep handy. Semi-immobilized, he’s even easier to medicate!
Yes, Andy is watchful now! Nice pictures of the boys. I sometimes have to sneak up on sleeping kitties at tooth brushing time.
They haven’t become totally aware of my phone camera….!
Our cats think where ever we rest is the best spot, Smokie (mid age man) will sit on my husband even if he has to push away coffee or computer to so so, Echo (old lady) also loves her Daddy best. Orion (kitten boy/tiger) will sleep anywhere on me or the dogs his preference is me and the cavalier male. Pixie (Smokie’s littermate sister) sits next to, she’s a delicate princess.
I am laughing while reading your comment, autistsix! I absolutely know how that business goes because my two do exactly the same thing!
Thank you! By the way I am NOT nominating you for the Neat Blogger’s Award I just got, because I know how you feel. But your blog is neat!
Thanks! I appreciate not being nominated because I hate to disappoint those people who nominate others for these things.
😀 They are both beautifully groomed. How do you make them stay still long enough?
What you don’t know is I take many photos that don’t make the cut, mostly because they move, change positions before the camera takes the photo or close their eyes in time to avoid the flash. Andy doesn’t require lots of attention, but Dougy has thicker fur that definitely benefits from a good brushing! Best of all, Dougy loves to be brushed,. it must feel good to him.
Each cat has his or her favorite things.
Yeah, but does it have to be the ottoman I bought so I could put my feet up? LOL!
Did you make it clear when you got it that it was your toy?
Apparently not.
The think it is all theirs.
Because, well, it is! LOL!
Pestered? That is BLISS, BLISS I tell you …
It depends on how accurately they land! It has happened that Andy (in particular) lands on me at some point while chasing Dougy or running away from him. I have the scars to prove it! lol!
Thick jeans …
Or a pillow on the lap works, too!
Yesterday out of the clear blue mine gave noticed
That because I wasn’t sitting next to her she started
Saying she wasn’t having any of that
The nerve of me
I hope you settled it later on…!
