Post 1129: where they are when I use the bathroom….

Anyone with cats knows there is no privacy. You can close the door, but there will be a pitiful mewing behind the door and tiny paws reaching under the door. You can leave the door open and your feline entourage rushes in with you.

Dougy waits outside the door so he can swat Andy when he rushes by. (Unless Andy waits by the door to...! Yeah!

Andy rushes in to hop on an invalid chair in the bathtub. Dougy can't get him there!

All I can do is sit there while Dougy zigzigs around my legs, amking sure I am properly marked as "DOUGY's PROPERTY _ ANDY STAY AWAY! "

  1. Snoops sits outside the door and waits for us to open it. Then she rushes in. We’re supposed to close the door and give her belly rubs and nuzzles. It’s the only play where Kommando can’t get in and steal the attention. Kommando must understand. She patiently waits outside the door until we’re done.

    • LOL! I thought it was more like they knew I couldn’t get away from them for a moment, so they made use of the opportunity. “Make hay when the sun shines,” as we say in America.

  2. Oooo I do know what you mean. Some of mine think I just sit down to create a LAP, just for them. Others are sure I’ve closed the door, which won’t latch unless I slam it…old house remember…and are SURE, I’ve got a baby or a “sickie” in there to feed the kitty heroin…baby food…and push on the door until it opens. I had one, Bette Noir, that used to come in and pee in the tub because evidently she thought I needed the companionship. YUP, I can’t even pee alone. Hi to the boyz and have a good weekend Doug. ~~dru~~

  3. Our Princess hates and gets angry when we close the doors… In our home all doors are open except the house door 🙂 Actually she wants to be with us wherever we go in the home… as you mentioned, there is no privacy 🙂 Thank you dear WB, lovely post and photographs, have a nice weekend, Love, nia

    • “Princess”! Of course she is one! I guess we wouldn’t have cats if we couldn’t handle the constant surveillance.

You have a wonderful weekend, too! I hope to see more of your beautiful Istanbul and Turkey through your photos, something I encourage others reading this comment check out, too. You are a superb photographer and blogger, and your postings are always fun and interesting. Of course, I especially like the cat photos, but there is so much more to see in your blog!

    • I’ve gotten used to it, though it is almost worth closing the door to see those little paws searching under the door for a path to kitty nirvana! LOL! It gives you a mouse’s point of view on what it must be like to be a little prey animal hiding from the cat.

    • LOL! I’d expect a border collie to be that clever! I think they are wonderful dogs, border collies. If there is one breed you suspect understands us more than others, it has to be a border collie, they are so intelligent.

      • Oh yes…she lets me know when it is time for her pill…..she knows the difference between good bacon and fast food bacon….she has more brains than most of the people in my neighborhood…LOL
