Post 1133: it feels like Caturday…

Today began on such a slow note, I swore it must be Caturday. Alas, it’s only Tuesday! But I can watch morning news programs that aren’t on on Caturday. And post some kitty photos because every day is Caturday when you have kitties! Woo hoo! Kitties!

There’s Dougy “GIF’ed”! I always manage to make these by accident, though I know where you tap to start the photo burst that becomes the GIF.

Of course, here’s Dougy watching our favorite morning news program…except when it isn’t. His ears are back because he can’t believe, erm, his ears!

    • Andy and Dougy generally show no interest in television, even when it features birds or other things cats like. I doubt either has watched more than a few seconds of anything since i got them. They don’t seem interested in radio or music, either, unless it’s birdsong outside.

  1. Good heavens, what was said on the news?!? Do you think he thinks that Trump is right about the news being ‘rigged’?

ABC News executive producer Ian Cameron is married to Susan Rice, National Security Adviser.

CBS President David Rhodes is the brother of Ben Rhodes, Obama’s Deputy National Security Adviser for Strategic Communications.

ABC News correspondent Claire Shipman is married to former Whitehouse Press Secretary Jay Carney

ABC News and Univision reporter Matthew Jaffe is married to Katie Hogan, Obama’s Deputy Press Secretary

ABC President Ben Sherwood is the brother of Obama’s Special Adviser Elizabeth Sherwood

CNN President Virginia Moseley is married to former Hillary Clinton’s Deputy Secretary Tom Nides.

Ya think there might be something to the rigged accusation?

    • Of course, they could be like my parents were, too. My father was Chief of Police here for decades, but he never talked about his work around the family because he didn’t want police matters slipping out by accident because someone forget he./she wasn’t supposed to talk about it. I appreciated that, actually, because I didn’t have to lie when people asked me about matters that were none of their or my business.

As for Dougy, I think he heard some of those naughty words Trump occasionally lets slip. He has tender ears.

      • Poor kitty! Trump has been known to use scary tones. Clinton scares me, too because as I compare what she says to what she does, things don’t match. One would think that with millions of citizens in this country, the 2 parties could have come up with better options. (I liked Bernie.)

    • GIFs are kind of fun! I presently don’t have a video editor since Windows 10 doesn’t have the Microsoft Movie Maker, the editor I was using. GIFs will hold me till I find a movie editor I like. (I think Dougy heard some of the naughty words Trump sometimes uses.)

    • GIFs are fun to make, though I usually do it accidentally. He is looking really nice right now since his smoke Persian characteristics ae more obvious than after he’s groomed.

As far as the newscaster goes, I think he was telling naughty things trump said.

      • Hope Trump is starting to lose. We don’t hear much about him unless he pulls a real stupid move which was quite awhile there for awhile.

Dougy does look beautiful. There fur sure grows quickly, doesn’t it?

        • He’s invited to a private meeting with the President of Mexico tomorrow. I cringe to think what a “heehaw” he’ll make of himself while a guest in el presidente’s palace.

Yes, in two months it goes from neatly trimmed into a teddy bear cut to nearly fully grown out. It always amazes me since I barely need a haircut once every six months!

      • Here, we often have a hailstorm in June, and the hope is that there is enough time to start from scratch and still get something from the garden. We sit upon a huge aquifer (the Ogallala Aquifer) where I live, so gardeners have a reliable source of water. If the weather still can cause problems by being too hot (kills pollen) or cold (slows down growth and other problems). Gardeners have to be patient, eh, Michel?!

    • Oh! I’m sorry! Weather can be the gardener’s friend or his enemy. Where I live, the hailstorm in June that wipes out the garden is the big problem. Some years, we have to replant and hope there is enough season left to get a harvest. Better luck next year, my friend!

    • Yes, I had not thought about that! He is a natural born US kitty, but people like Trump would see him as Persian, not American. (Much like the judge he called a Mexican, though he was born in the USA of immigrant parents>)

        • Wait till we hear how the private visit with the President of Mexico goes tomorrow…. I an’t believe Trump will come out of that visit looking good. For example, he’s accused the Mexican government of sending only rapists and murderer across the border, and they – the Mexicans – are going to pay for some mythical wall that holds out all immigrants (“illegal immigrants”). “Oh yes, Mr. Trump! You caught us with our pants down. We will stop rounding up all our bad guys in government vans and shipping then under/over/around the border to steal your jobs and rape and murder your beautiful women. And, without a doubt, we are going to pay for that beautiful wall from the Pacific to the Gulf of Mexico, just wait and see! After all, if you win the election, you will be armed with nuclear weapons.” Scary stuff. I’m counting on the President of Mexico straightening out that blow hard.
