I think Andy and Dougy lose track of one thing: I get to use the recliner, too! Of course, I have to sit cockeyed on the darn thing to make room for a kitty visit. What I do for my cats!
=(>+<)=
Andy pops onto the recliner footrest…
“You…!”
“Still there?”
Then Dougy pops onto the recliner footrest…
He’s thinking about something.
“Hey! What about wand toy time? I want to play. NOW!”
So, of course, we played wand toy. Andy sort of joined in, but the game play mostly involved Dougy and me. Monday morning. You ready for it?
I work nights, so I sleep during the day. My husband sleeps at night. The cats love the arrangement. They start out sharing the bed nicely, but during the “night” they keep moving closer to the bed warmer. So by the time I get up, I’m usually diagonal on the bed.
LOL! I’d call that lucky. Any cat I’ve had that joined me in bed usually walked up my leg to my head or back that way. When the cat was almost 24 pound (10,8 kilos) Louie the ginger cat….! Whew! That hurt! Dougy is on a few ounces short of 11 pounds (ca. 4,9 kilos), but it still wakes me up when he walks on me. Hope your kitties are small ones!
They’re both under 10 pounds. But I think each paw weighs about 20! 🙂
I do know what you mean!
Cats take up a lot of room on a piece of furniture, I have found! Sometimes I awake to one cat on my head, one on each side and one on my feet. The rest are circling like sharks waiting to be fed.
LOL! I count my blessings, then, to have only two!
Those cute little faces would be hard to refuse anything to.
Unfortunately, that is very true!
Incidentally, I scoot them off the recliner if they are misbehaving. (Yes, sometimes Andy and Dougy are bad kitties!)
LOL. They are a piece of work they are.
That recliner is very comfortable. I, of course, have the size advantage.
I’ve got the same discussion with my female cat concerning the BED.
LOL! You have my sympathy! (We know our cats will win in the end…!)
Oh, just now my cat knows what is best for her – and frees the spot she is occupying …
Yes, one sometimes has to remind the cat who controls the can opener! LOL!
Well, she is a German cat, and Germans like things to be neat and orderly! I sometimes have to let the kitties know I’m bigger than they, but mostly we co-exist.
Neat and orderly? Strange, that she undoes my bed every day, then … I put a cover over it and she reassembles that cover in the middle of the bed and sleeps on my duvet, instead … naughty, naughty little one … It is the fact that I AM a lot bigger than her and get the duvet up despite her lying on it that makes her retreat …
Naughty kitty! They can be very head strong, can’t they!?
That is how we like them …
If you want a pet to look up to you, get a dog. If you want a pet that looks down on you, get a cat. If you want a pet that treats you as an equal- get a piggy.
Ha! Ha! Great comment! Very true, too!
