What can I say? Leave it to a kitty to know how to observe Caturday! And today is Andy’s day to shine or glow, perhaps, in the morning sun.

Snoops and Kommando Kitty here – would the boys be interested in being interviewed for the December Cat Forum? We send the questions, they send the answers, and you send the pictures (at least 2 each). With a little luck it will run on Dec 10.
Sure! I’ve done these with Anarette’s two dogs, and she with my two cats, and we had great fun doing it! Of course, your kitties will need to do an interview, too! You can send the questions to me at
weggieboy@gmail.com
I think I can meet that deadline at this point. The follow-up interview with Snoops (great name!) and Kommando Kitty (another great name!) may take a bit longer to work out, but I probably can work that in around the same time, too. That would be my preference anyway, since the two interviews will be related.
Great! Let’s do it.
I’ll try not to accidentally delete your e-mail. I’m usually barely awake when I go through them in the morning. In fact, I’m going back to my trash and spam files just in case…!
I love the sun in the fur, I know you can’t always capture the smoke, but this does it nicely.
Thanks! I was very pleased when I finally had a photo I didn’t have to Photoshop to show how pretty his fur is!
Nothing like good morning sun to start the day! Andy looks like he is enjoying the warmth. 🙂
Oh, he love, love, loves the sun!
He is beautiful and the sun hitting his tummy shows off several different shades.
Jean
That’s the smoke Persian aspect that often is lost in photos and after he and Dougy have their haircuts at the groomer’s. It’s really quite stunning in real life, and I’m pleased when I manage to capture even a little of that beauty in a photo.
Andy certainly glows! Ask him what his secret is 🙂
Um, he’s named after St. Andrew, patron saint of Scotland and apostle. (Not to be blasphemous or anything….! LOL!)
Wow, I better be careful in such a VIC (Very Important Cattus) presence…
And he still has his claws….
Oh, oh,… glad he does do 🙂
Dougy does, too. I regard “declawing” as barbaric and would never have that done to a cat. Though it’s legal in the USA, many veterinarians won’t perform this operation, which is a good start toward ending the practice. I firmly believe that you should have cats if you can’t handle a bit of chaos because they will be what they are.
I agree 100 percent!
It’s illegal in the EU and other places around the world. I think it’s time for it to become illegal here as well. At least there are many veterinarians who won’t perform this mutilation of cat’s paws!
Yes, it definitely should be just like ear cropping, tail cropping and other mutilations. I never understood that either; if people are not happy with the way these animals look or behave then why get them in the first place.
Exactly! All of which I don’t approve of either. I know these are somewhat tied in with the breed descriptions of such breeds a cocker spaniels, doberman pinsers, etc., but I would love to see these bobbed and clipped breeds in their natural state. I bet they are beautiful!
They certainly are beautiful in their natural state!
I’ve seen photos but never any actual animals in their natural state.
Look for shows in Europe, see also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Docking_(dog)
Whew! That was an interesting article! Thanks for the link. I suspect others reading your comment will find it very interesting, too.
Here’s one on declawing cats:

It is my hope that these practices become illegal everywhere, sooner than later .
I totally agree. I can’t imagine why anyone would even consider it (mutilating their pets) these days.
Andy is a handsome boy ( Dougy is too).
They both tell me to tell you “Meow!” (I quite agree!)
