Not to worry. As soon as I finished photographing this, Dougy and I had a fun play session! He doesn’t hold grudges!
Dougy sounds like Lucio! Only Lucio gnaws on my ankle until I pay attention. 🙂

I also have a question. Your furniture appears to be leather and I don’t think you declawed the boys, yet I don’t see damage to your chairs. Did you train them to keep their claws retracted or something?
There is damage to the recliner, which I bought before I had cats. Though I’m not pleased with the scratches on the chair, I believe that if you can’t tolerate a little chaos in your life, you shouldn’t have kitties. They really destroyed my computer chair, starting on the first day I got it. For some reason., the computer chair seemed more suitable for a scratching post than the recliner.
Interesting. I asked because my sister has leather furniture and 3 cats, so she always keeps quilts and blankets on top of her furniture (very odd look, in an otherwise modern room).

Well, your furniture always looks perfect in your photos, which is why I suspected you’d trained the boys or had some other secret – I didn’t figure you were the type of person who would declaw them.
It’s more obvious the bigger your screen. Andy is mostly a good boy, but Dougy (even as I type this comment) scratches furniture to let me know he wants attention or to establish territory.
Are you sure? Cats hold grudges and always get you when you least expect it! Better to sleep with one eye open :p
Dougy and Andy have sweet personalities. That said, Dougy does come to visit me during the night….!
