Given the strict rules the kitty boys apply to each other’s use of their favorite perches, I was surprised to see Dougy on Andy’s light stand.

“What’s up, McDougall,” I asked him. “What if Andrew sees you on his light stand?”
Dougy was motionless. I know the pose: He was on the hunt, but what was there to hunt inside the apartment?
“Good grief! Go for it, kitty boy! Go for it!”
And he did.

LOL! They are God’s little creatures, but I say they were put on earth to amuse cats. And good riddance!
Abby is our primary fly catcher here. Flies drive them crazy until they catch them or they disappear.
Both Andy and Dougy would agree with Abby. When the fire alarm signals a week battery with a blinking light…! Poor kitties, they can’t bear to stop watching and trying to figure out how to get that blinking nuisance!

I haven’t seen the fly lately, but I also didn’t see Dougy (or his brother Andy, an equally enthusiastic fly hunter – see video) get it. I hope he (or Andy) did, though: I hate the dang bugs!
