Dougy and I had a sweet time with a favorite wand toy early in the morning, and he enjoyed my enthusiastic “Good boy! What a clever kitty!” praise each time he snared the lure as it passed by.
Later, after the sun came up – yes, it was a sunny day! – Dougy lounged on the kitty lounger by the back door and enjoyed the warmth of the sun. I might add, it really, really, really showed how beautiful his ruff is at this point. Dougy and his brother are boy kitties, but I think they are just plain beautiful. Not handsome, beautiful!
Here’s another look at that ruff:
=(^+^)=
Let’s not forget Andy. I tried to get a photo of him on the walker by the back door, but he was still a bit skittish because of the medicine episode documented in yesterday’s post. (This post and yesterday’s were both put together on the same day.) When I tried to get an angle that shows how pretty he is, he hopped off the little red chair and never did let me photograph him at his best.
Of course, after I came home after I took a little road trip to dry my car off after running it through the car wash, Andy greeted me at the door, all friendly and loving and huggable! I picked him up three different times, and he love, love, loved me rubbing his whiskers, nose, and tummy! The difference from when I tried to take his photo at a good angle? Beats me!
Very beautiful indeed!
The kitty boys thank you!
The boys are looking good, Doug!
They are doing well, eating well, and staying out of trouble! They thank you!
They are beautiful boys. Isn’t it funny that the fur around a cat’s neck is a ruff. I wonder what is a meow on a dog???
LOL! Now I won’t sleep till I find out!
I agree, they are beautiful boys.
They’ve been looking really good to me lately.
Catz ability to hold grudges is only beat by their ability to appreciate almost anything in the here and now. Yet who wouldn’t LOVE sitting on a lounger by the sunny door with breezes wafting fantastic smells all running all over you. Sound divine.
~~dru~~
I can do that myself!
Of course they’re beautiful; it would be silly to call long, silky fur handsome.
Exactly! (And they are very soft to the touch!)
They are beautiful…also handsome. I can’t get over all the fur. It would be hard cleaning up specially after a tussle between the two when they pull each other’s fur out. hehe

You know it! I just vacuumed the carpet this morning, and minutes after, I see black souvenirs from my boys! Yes, they are pretty fluffy just now. They remind me of little skunks because the fur hides their legs a lot more now. And they look like the =y waddle when they walk, though I know they are just as graceful as always. Persian cats are wonderful little cats, but they have some strange aspects about them…. Ha!
You are right, they are beautiful. The moment when a cat welcomes you back home, even if you were away 5 minutes, is so great, it is real love.
I get a kick out of them greeting me! I always say “Hello, kitties” and ask them if they were good while i was gone. LOL! I know they were more or less good, which is good enough.
That was a really interesting article on the history and use of the sauna in your country that you posted yesterday! I thought I knew all there was to know about them, but that article told about so much more that I never knew. I recommend people check it out:

Thank you!
that is great that even a mo(a)nday becomes a sun(ny) day for you :o)
It’s a lot easier now that I am retired! Ha! Also, I have a basically positive attitude toward life.
