The kitty boys and I are taking a day off for the holiday.

I don’t know about other places, but we’ve had very unseasonal (warm) weather so far this year. Snow’s in the forecast for tomorrow, but it will take more than that to put me in the Christmas mood this season. I presume you mean the recliner (which usually shows up in blogs with the foot rest up, which could easily make you think it’s a couch), which the kitty boys and I all agree is very, very, very comfortable and worthy of fighting over!
We have some coming tomorrow around midnight, and they predict accumulation up to 2 inches. We had one smaller snow earlier, but this has been a very warm autumn.
It will be a nice change I think. (I’ll wait till the snow flies before I make any commitment to one point of c=view or other!)

In Vermont we rely on snow for our tourism “industry” in the winter. Ski resorts. This is not the first time we have had this problem. I have a picture of my youngest son Ezra and his father playing catch behind my apartment building with tee shirts on.

Yes, that’s why Subarus and Jeeps are big sellers in your neck of the woods! Same here, though 4WD pickups and other AWD SUVs probably are sold in bigger numbers because of use differences.

A belated Happy 4th, Doug! It was pretty quiet around here.
Same to you! I don’t ordinarily celebrate it since none of my family lives here and I don’t do fireworks because I hate noise as much as the kitty boys, but it’s safe to wish me a Happy Fourth here! Same to you, late!
Thank you! The kitty boys and I hated the noise and think America would be a better place if we celebrated the holiday reflecting on the meaning of the country’s origins instead of wasting billions on fireworks made in China, an irony the fireworks-blasting “patriots” miss entirely, I’m sure.
It varies from year to year because of changes in neighbors. Someone moves, someone else moves in. Unfortunately , this year it’s a “boomer”! In recent years, it’s been people with better uses for their money.
I hate to be sour, but I hate this holiday because the loud fireworks start days before the holiday, and last until a day after, by law, but there seems to be a light following of the law. Wears me out.
No one is writing Christmas season Word Press blogs this year, but I like your couch and your cats.

Yes, even for people like me who are retired!
Even retired we still drink some Champagne to celebrate ! 🙂
I prefer different wines for celebrations, but I guess Chamgagne still is the universal wine of celebration!
Happy 4th!

Good point. :/
An unpopular one, to be sure!
Do have a beautiful Independance Day !
It was a pleasant day, except for the all-night fireworks. I blocked the noise a bit with air conditioning.
Hope you and the boys are having a wonderful day and you are getting some rest. Hugs and nose kisses
Neighbors blasted fireworks into the wee hours, well past the legal time. I hope they had a wonderful time.
Same thing here.

Have a relaxing 4th!
Until nighttime and the fireworks, we did!
Have a wonderful 4th of july with the boys…
Incredibly loud fireworks late into the night this year. I don’t enjoy them.

Enjoy your selves. A break recharges the batteries.
Yes, and the fireworks wear me out. I am not a fan!
Andy and Dougy, same old thing, nothing to do.
I need the rest. They are doing what they do.
