Always good to get rid of excess fur in the summer when its hot. The poor kitties having to wait till September. They will really appreciate the clipping when it comes in September.

I am sure the boy’s find it hard to believe you would want to go to the “groomer” but I suppose a summer cut is more comfortable in the heat.
That is a fact, and I am sorry they will miss theirs this year. I’m leaving the air conditioning on and putting ice in their water to help out. Brushing out the loose hair in their coats and dealing with the mats surely helps, too.

Dougy, as a young kitten, confused it with his mother’s abdomen, and tried to nurse on it.

It’s a strange feeling, even creepy, but it just meant he missed his mommy, I suppose, and I was a good enough substitute till he grew up.
Yeah, kitties always get sad when they go away from their moms.
That was one reason I agreed to take both Andy and Dougy. I think it was a happy decision for the kitty boys!

Everyone is getting clipped ! How will the boys get used to you new look ?
They are sniffers more than spotters, and the first thing they do when they greet me at the door is sniff my legs and feet to make sure they know me and to determine where I’ve been, what I did, and if any cats or dogs visited me!

oh maybe you give your dad a cat-too before he goes to the hair salon… just to make sure you will recognize him when he is back…
LOL! My arms and legs are covered with the kitty boys’ efforts to make sure they recognize me! I look like a victim of war sometimes, I have so many scabs.
