Dougy certainly got his kitty on when I brought out this old feather toy!
Andy waited instead for me to run some kitty videos. To each his own!

Hi Andy & Dougy! It’s super fun to get reacquainted with an favorite old toy. Mom pulled out my Cat Dancer toy from my toy basket the other day. I hadn’t played with it in a while & was excited to jump in the air after it again! Tee hee hee. Purrs!
Andy and Dougy say “meow”! They love, love, love any feather toy. I suspect if they had a chance to talk with The Island Cats crew, the talk would be about feather toys.
I think it captures that “poised for for prey or play” thing cats do – you know, taht cute little butt wiggle before they pounce and rip the throat out of the bird…?
Mine are fussy about toys, and get bored with most of them. They seem happiest with ones that have feathers or mimic birds or bugs in flight. (Not a product endorsement, nor do I get compensated for saying this, but they love, love, love the Neko Birbug, which emulates a hybrid creature half bug and half bird.)
I have an idea Egypt was one of the earliest places where cats were encouraged to join human habitations. They were very helpful in hunting out all the mice in the Egyptians’ grain silos. In return the Egyptians put out tasty delicacies to encourage the cats to frequent their own local silos. Mutual benefits all round.

Exactly! And what could be more tasty to a wildcat than a plump, grain-fed rat? If only they – cats – had opposable thumbs, they could have developed a barbeque recipe for the tasty little rascals! LOL!

Cats would control the world if they had opposable thumbs. Where would we be then ?

That’s how the kitty boys responded to the feather toy! When they get tired of a toy, they stretch out and play that way.
Is that da bird? My cats love that, well most do.
It sure is! We’ve gone through a few of them here, a pretty good indicator it is a hit!
Feather toys are the best!

They are happy cats, each with their own form of entertainment. They are handsome fellows, too!
Thanks! I hope they are happy!
