Post 1522: Andy checks out the table, too…

The relatively cleared table gave the kitty boys a rare opportunity for easy snooping. Dougy had his tour. Now it’s Andy’s turn!

This is me yesterday, dealing with Internet and television signal issues for the third day. After wasting long minutes on the phone following instructions from the cable company’s automated system – unplug this, wait for that, replug something else, wait for the signal, till nothing happened! – I finally got a message from the company telling me what I already knew: The problem was with their system, not my computer and television! “There was an outage in your service area. If your television now has a signal, type 1.”

In the meantime, during those brief times the computer worked, some “issues” popped up on my blog. Thanks, Charter! You added to a stress load that was heavy enough without your crap service. I lost one photo, but the rest of things seem to be in place.

    • Greg, Andy will knock pens or pencils off tables or shelves, but so far hasn’t got into that little cat thing of knocking significant things off. Having said that, I hope I didn’t put a curse on anything! That resetting of my router is a regular business here, too. I usually don’t have to contact my provider for that, I’ve unplugged, waited, and replugged it so often in the past.

  1. Computer and TV via Internet sometimes give us cold sweats . I had those issues recently as the yours and at the total all calme back to normal on its own. Internet is a remarkable tool for communication but it is not totally fiable.

    • That is for sure! We love it when it works because it seems like a miracle. It is handy and useful, then it doesn’t work and life comes to a standstill!

Give Janine my best and I hope you are enjoying the fruits of your garden, Michel!

    • Thanks! I seem to be back online after they fixed their system. Apparently service to my area was screwed up because I saw their service guy drive by my apartment twice the day the service came back online. Best wishes for a quick resolution of your Internet issues!

  2. My sympathy on the lost photo. I didn’t have an outage but after upgrading to a higher speed because my service was so slow, it got slower! This initiated just the sort of dialog you suffered through and of course the fault was on their end.
