Andy is minding his business on his current favorite box, and…
…Dougy is minding his on the dining room table while I work on some paperwork. Then I hear a knock at the door.
You can be sure Dougy and Andy are alert to the knock and will be very curious about anything I pull from the other side of the door!
Andy plays it cool till he sees it is a new box!! I remove the contents, a couple new books I ordered, and then I take the box into the front room to see how the kitty boys enjoy the new box. They run ahead of me, of course!
Andy is first in, too my surprise. He discovers there is hiding potential under the flap, the perfect place to be to pounce when Dougy stops by! (Is that the “Glistening Slobber of Joy” on Andy’s lips? Could be! He is very pleased with the new box.)
Of course, it helps if you are hiding under the flap before Dougy shows up. Shortly after, once Dougy hogs the new box, Andy sits outside the box and reaches over the flap to bop his kitty brother on his head. Andy will have his fun! This new box works for him on many levels. (I might add, it looked really cute when he did it, though Dougy saw no humor in the situation!)
New boxes are always the best! Give the boys a scritch for me, Doug. 🙂
Mission accomplished, and the kitty boys say “Mrow!” New boxes ARE best because the first kitty boy in the box gets to personalize it to his tastes (Only his scent on things…! LOL!)
That is a splendid box, Andy & Dougy! Is that your new castle? It looks like it has built-in lookouts that can be lowered and raised as needed to watch over your village and townspeople and to protect the inner court. Tee hee hee.
It apparently has qualities I don’t see because both kitty boys spent lots of time in it! I think those flaps are part of the attraction alright, and Andy likes to hide under them.
This new box is like a perfect Christmas gift ( in advance ) for Andy!! What a fun with that !

haha…The boys are so handsome. They are so much braver than Shoko who disappears at the sound of a ring or knock. Makes me feel like peeps barely come over…hehe Their box is awesome.

Thanks! They agree that is one awesome box. Both have been taking turns using it for a few minutes, and, yes, it looks like another box I won’t be able to toss. I think their relatively innocent lives here makes them unaware of potential dangers outside the door. That and cat-like curiosity about everything makes that door a natural attractant! Besides, there sometimes are other kitties or rabbits outside the door, not to mention birds.

Thanks! I am glad I was able to serve because so many avoided it and now regret it or are treated with disdain. I hate to see a president mocked, yet that bone spur thing makes our current CINC vulnerable for something that, frankly, wasn’t illegal or uncommon among my generation – using deferments to avoid serving in an unpopular war.
