Dougy gets upset with me when all my attention is on updating this blog. He gets whiny and paws my leg. If I ignore him too long (as if that were possible!), he treats me to those pointy things on his toes.
Dougy will not be ignored! Poor baby!
“Good grief, brother! Get it together!” Andy can’t believe Dougy sometimes!
so lovely so lovely, Thank you dear WB, Love and Hugs to you ALL, nia
Thanks! As always, I enjoy stopping by your blog for all the lovely kitty photos! I think I mentioned that I bought “Kedi” (about the cats of Istanbul) on your recommendation, and it was a beautiful film, one I will enjoy watching many times!
I am so glad to hear that you enjoyed, it is really so nice film. Welcome and Thank you, have a nice weekend, Love, nia
I’d recommend anyone who loves cats watch “Kedi”! I hope you have a lovely weekend, too, Nia!
We saw “Kedi” too. Loved it!
It seems impossible that there are that many stray kitties surviving in Istanbul, but, if all Istanbulis (if that is what you call residents…) are like our friend niasunset, there’s the answer! “Kedi” was fascinating, a video I must share with the kitty boys. I don’t know where they were when I watched the movie.
Poor Dougy. Remind him that you are doing work for his blog 🙂
I did and he said my job was to keep him amused! (And “scritch” him and feed him!)
Lovely pictures of Andy and Dougy as always! Our cats have always had a fascination with the computer too. Our new Little Ultraviolet has to be there if she hears the sound of the keyboard!
LOL! I bet she is! Every cat I’ve ever had had to visit the keyboard for a sitdown or nap.
Sounds like Dougy is a smart cat. A cat shouldn’t be ignored. Sounds like Dougy wants a lot of attention. That video was something too. A cat will try almost anything to get our attention. Do you need to balance attention and working on the blog to 50% for blog and 50% attention to the cat(s)?
It depends on the day and time of day. I usually work on it so something posts by 2:00 AM my time (-7 UTC), though many days I fight kitty needs and get it out whenever. Today is such a day. Dougy is slyly smart whereas Andy is just smart. I think of Dougy as the goofy kitty and Andy as the shy one. Reality is both are shy with most people, if curious, which is typical of Persians. Once they know you, they are friendly. Dougy is more playful, but Andy can be encouraged to play. Andy usually prefers to create his own fun.
understandable. Good luck with your blog and cats
Things come together somehow!
they always do. With cats it makes it more interesting.
Exactly!

He seems unimpressed by your video skills! So darn cute! 😽😻❤️
That’s Andy, and Andy is a serious kitty boy. Besides, he prefers to watch them, not star in them!
Do you know that Shoko is the same…a nudge on the arm at first….then the nails come out, a little…then they are all the way out. At night its a gentle pat on the face…then a stronger pat..until the gentle pat ends with a whap across the nose! I don’t appreciate the whap and bury my head….no way am I playing now. Jean
You get my respect, Jean! Dougy ends his abuse by brushing my face with his tail. He’ll start on one side and walk around my head, flipping his tail all over my face. It usually gets my attention if I don’t bury my head in my blankets first. It definitely isn’t what I want on my face! Sometimes I give in, knowing that the tail is next!
we need all the attention… I mean for what do we live with humans? to get their attention… always… efurry minute…
I confess that is true!
The photo is spectacular and shows well Dougy ‘ s impatience . This is reinforced by the open mouth.. Beautiful capture Doug:
BTW I do not see many teeth at the upper jaw.I
In friendship
Michel
They are hidden but are there! Dougy has all his teeth. Andy had to have one lower incisor removed when he was a young cat because it was rubbing against an upper canine tooth. You can’t tell he lost that tooth unless you count his teeth!
