Sometimes, I get too close when I take photos of the kitty boys. Other times, they move in to sniff the camera just as it takes the photo.
I don’t think they mean to mess the photos up… [Wink!]

They are kitty boys, so probably would be upset to get kisses, but they’d love it if you “scritched” their heads and ears! If you really want to get on their good side, scratch them between their front legs – they roll their eyes and lick you hand when you do that! LOL!
Andy and Dougy prefer I touch them on the nose (a finger “kiss”) or a head bump. Of course, we give each other blinky eyes. Andy especially likes doing blinky eyes with me. I’ve had two cats that tolerated kisses.
Andy and Dougy are lookin’ good today! I can’t answer any more over at my site, it only allows so many comments, I tried to change that and couldn’t. But in reply to your comment, LOL about your cheetah! I used to call Bud our bobcat!
I had a terrible time getting photos of mine. One peek at the camera and off they went. Then I got a Go Pro. It’s so small I can hide it easily, I don’t always need a flash and they now seem to not find it such a threat. I can finally get closeups.
I think you pinpointed the big problem: flash photography! I used my webcam at various times for that reason, and the camera on my smart phone has been a big help overcoming the kitty boys’ resistance to being photographed. The Go Pro camera is an excellent idea, too!
If they are like us, they are getting used to the cameras and the flashing. All Houdini has to hear here is “Smile” and he positions himself. He’s such a little camera whore. Snorts and rolls with piggy laughter. XOXO – Bacon
I don’t use flash any longer because they ran when they saw me pull out the digital camera. Of course, that is a complication since they are black kitties and seem to spend more time in darkish places than in light. I enjoy the challenge, however!
Yeah, that “and fast” part is the challenge as much as exposure time. You may have noticed I am not beyond posting blurry photos when it suggests movement within the story.
Oh dear friend – me too. Sometimes my hooves get in the way. Snorts and rolls with piggy laughter. XOXO – Bacon

That’s a fun image to fix in my mind – I bet you look exceptionally cute then!

Do they actually sniff the lens? Shoko and Kali steer clear of the lens. I must see if they’d sniff it. The pictures look like their first selfies. hehe
I don’t know. Kitties are pretty smart. Maybe they’re having a “bad fur day” and don’t want to be photographed 🙂
All that “floof” on Persians, bad hair days can happen!
Uw katten zijn dus zeker niet bang van een fototoestel, dat bewijzen de foto’s
Ze houden niet van flitsfotografie, maar zijn meestal bereid om te poseren voor hun internationale vrienden!
They look very sweet close up. Is that Andy in the last photo?
Yes, that’s Andy! That has become one of my favorite photos of Andy.
The last photo is amazing!
This a success!
Michel
As with all my photos, this is an accident, but a nice one! LOL!
LOL!!
Beautiful and so lovely dear WB, I wished to get close more and to give a kiss 🙂 I love you all there, Thank you, have a nice day, Love, nia

…. 🙂 My little panther likes to give a kiss but all my other cats (boy or girl) never!

These faces are made for close-ups!
LOL! I agree!
great “winking” picture
Thanks! They are all accidents and good luck!
I like the close-ups, Andy and Dougy, you look very…close 😀 Pawkisses for a Happy Day 🙂 <3
Thanks! The kitty boys don’t like to look directly at the camera, being very polite kitties, so it is always agreeable when I catch them off guard.

(Didn’t mean to like my own comment was just trying to reply that Bud got my camera lens good with his nose once!
LOL! I accidentally like my comments, too.
I can imagine a nose against optical glass since I think the natural curiosity of our pets pretty much makes it inevitable!
LoL! I would love to have a bobcat as a pet if they were suitable for that. Such beautiful animals!
Bobcats are gorgeous indeed, but too ferocious to be pets, IMO.
Gad! And those paws are HUGE!

Extreme closeups!
Barely in focus, but…!

Snorts with piggy laughter. You sound like my mom. She always complains cause I’m black too and I’m fast. LOL. XOXO Bacon

This probably answers your question, Jean!

they are always gorgoues… the best is when they touch the lens… then you get a mystery photo :o)
Yes, a nose print on the lens! Fortunately, they kitty boys have petite noses, so they can’t make too much of a mess!
