It’s that time of year. Bugs get inside and the kitty boys have fits trying to get to them. This morning, Dougy spotted a bug on the ceiling. He wants it! MEOW!
Poor kitty! The bug won’t move. It’s still in the same spot on the ceiling. What’s a kitty boy to do?

You have to thank all feline gods that the bug is on the ceiling and not within their reach! My guys (especially girls, for some reason!) chase Palmetto bugs across the floor and play with them. We are on the first floor, so Palmetto bugs are unavoidable, occasionally.
Ugh! At least your kitties take care of them!
Oh no! If we are not at home or don’t catch them at it in time, we find bug shreds in the most unexpected places.

LOL! Incidentally, I had a Louie the ginger tabby tomcat. He was named after Louis “Satchmo” Armstrong another Cool Cat!

Spiders seem the most common house insect the cats hunt here. I have a vaulted ceiling so flies can get way above the range of jumping cats!
Spiders tend to be top on my list, too. They are around all year.

Good sport, though, if they get a good shot at the bug. The bug today wisely kept high on the ceiling till I poked at it, then it flew somewhere away from Dougy. Later, it came back to the lamp next to the glider and ottoman. By then, Dougy’d moved on.
