So much for nice things. Dougy does this each time he gets up on his ottoman. Territorial assertion.

I agree. Barmalei yells at Pyshka to clear the space on my belly. It’s his, and has been from the beginning, and what is this little invader doing there!
Can I join him?! Tee hee hee. I do that on my scratchy post. Sometimes I try that on Mom’s settee, but I stop when she gives me “the look.” Tee hee hee.
That’s my attitude, too. The ottoman is solid as far as its structure. The padding on top can be replaced. Furniture that”s beyond redemption can be replaced
I keep telling myself that I didn’t have cats for pets until my early 60s. I’m learning a lot about them for the first tie. While I would never do it, I understand why some people feel declawing their pets is necessary. I feel it’s barbaric and hope more and more veterinarian’s in my country refuse to do it or all states ake it illegal.
Sometimes they do it on me – on my belly or chest! I guess they veiw me as a (barely!) live bed.
When I;m on the recliner, they both take turns. I think it’s a territorial thing then instead of “loving”!

Why is naughty behavior so often cute in kitties? 😍
How true! And Dougy does naughty big!

Dougy gives me “the look” back. He is a terrible kitty when he wants to be!
We’ve had to give up on furniture, but we’re ok with that. We’ll get around to recovering or replacing it one day.

Sigh… Cats have to do their thing, I guess.

I can’t have nice things either 🙂
It is the price we pay to have our little fur buddies. I mean, Jackson Galaxie can’t come to all our houses and train us!
we do that too when we go to bed… the mama always gets a nuclear meltdown LOL
Hey, you have to prepare your evening nest, eh!?
