Just catching up on Andy and you. How are things going? Have Andy and you acclimated to the new normal?
Mostly, though there are sad times when the realization that Dougy is gone forever hits. I think Andy has those moments, too. I am watching him closely for behavioral changes that show he needs to have a companion. If I do get another cat, I’d try for a neutered male, older cat so they are roughly the same stage of life. Personally, I don’t think I want to have another pet after Andy because of my age and health issues, yet I can’t imagine being without one either.
I’m with you, it’s hard to imagine being without a pet. I try not to think about it. Easier said than done I know.
I hope I don’t find out.
