Facebook brings up posts from the past, and this one recently brought a smile to my lips. It’s the late Dougy doing what he most liked to do, watching birds in the fir tree in the backyard! He got his kitty on while doing this and chirped and attacked the screens. He was so intensely interested in the birds, I could barely get his attention.
as long as you can remember memories like this Doug,Dougy isn’t truly gone.
I agree.
Precious little Dougy was always so amusing!
Yes!
That is a sweet photo of Dougy.
I was pleased with it.
…like my neighbours’ cat : a bird hunter!
In friendship
Michel
Yes! Dougy would have been a bird terrorist if I had let him be an outdoor cat.
Sweet Dougy !
Yes!
Dougy was such a loving, interesting cat. Andy is there. Amitiés
Yes he was!
Awww . . . he does look fully engrossed in his watching!
He especially liked that window for bird watching.
Dougy lives on in your heart, Doug. ❤️
He does!
That’s a beautiful photo of Dougy cat watching the birds! All these wonderful memories are there to help bridge the gap between here, and there, where they are now. Wishing you peace, and many loving remembrances of your departed kitty boy.
This photo brought back many fond memories!
Aww- I’m sorry for your loss! I know how badly it crushed the Can Opener when Shrimp suddenly died. Our hearts are with you- hang in there!
Thank you. Dougy’s brother and I miss him a lot.
I know. I still miss Shrimp too- last night I – (I mean, “The Can Opener,” kept calling Sushi “Shrimp!” MOL! Then she kept wondering why she couldn’t get seafood off her mind! MWAHAHAHA!
Andy gets called Dougy from time to time.
That might continue for a while- it did for us!
I was doing it before Dougy died. He and Andy looked especially alike the longer their hair was.
I know!! I could never tell them apart!
Eye color and Dougy’s broader face were the two ways I (usually) told them apart.
Mol! I wondered about that!! My human has been praying for you through this time- it was so hard in her when Shrimp suddenly died and she hasn’t forgotten how it felt. There are so many others that have lost their fur babies recently too because of the recent wildfires and she hasn’t forgotten them either. We had wildfires here in Oregon too- and I plan to post about that soon. It was so hard and we weren’t even as close to the danger and it seemed- but it was still awful
I can’t imagine how how horrific loss of a fur friend in a wild fire would be.
It barely affected is thank heavens- except for ash raining down and dark skies for weeks and constantly getting emergency alerts to be ready to evacuate- but hundreds of people here lost their homes- and some lost livestock and pets
Tragic an unimaginable! We had the smoke here in Nebraska and fantastic sunsets and sunrises.
It was awful- we didn’t see the sun at all for weeks- I still intend to write about this- could you remind me if you think of it?
You’re asking someone who can’t tell you what he ate for lunch so days! LOL! I’ll try.
😂 That’s great!! One of these days, I’ll remember. I have remembered lately, but only at extremely inconvenient times -(like when I’m half asleep)!
LOL!
Such handsome boys!
I agree of course!
the look… purr-fect!
Intense, eh!?
