When Pestopher showed up, I was sure Andy would -RAWR! – get his kitty on.
This not a kitty boy getting his kitty on! Pestopher is bugging around with impunity.
What’s wrong with this picture?!

the great thing is Mr.Fly has many cousins willing to step in and entertain you both!
…and they have! KILL! KILL! KILL! (Oh, I lost it for a moment….KILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!)
as much as I’m against killing anything, fly’s and mosquitoes (or anything that bites) is fair game I say!
Definitely! WHAP!
I also think that Andy now perceives Pestopher as more of a play pal, than prey.
I had an all day visit from dear Pest today. After some time, I picked up an empty paper towel tube (Dougy used to run from them’; Andy likes to play with them.) Pest landed on the lapboard and was there a long time. Then I swatted Pest with the tube. It works pretty well as a fly control tool.
How did Andy react to losing his new play pal?
“Meh!” He was tired of Pest, too!
As long as my darling is happy!
As long as the Greenies last, he’s content~!
Easily bribed.
I probably should check him in to rehab…his Greenies habit is out of control!
LOL Just out of curiosity: what happens if you try to limit treats to a certain number per day?
He continues to beg, of course! However, if I distribute them in small amount each time he begs, he seems not to catch on he’s getting fewer treats. He would balloon out, I think, if I gave he too many.
Are they fattening? They are supposed to be healthy, but by guys don’t like them.
I think they have two or three calories each, but the instructions suggest no more than 18 a day. Their main purpose is to clean teeth.
Ah, then there are much healthier than Friskies my guys like. Good for Andy that he likes them.
I suppose because I initially was intimidated by the fact Andy and Dougy were pedigree cats and I’d never had such fancy pets before, I tended to let their veterinarian direct me toward certain treats and foods. I suspect Andy would be happy with less fancy food and treats but the pattern is set.
I goggled it, and your veterinarian was right. I am happy for dear Andy.
I never thought about what to feed the two earlier kitties since they’d been shelter cats that came from bad situations or were strays surviving as best the could till caught.
Catering to feline aristocracy changes one’s outlook, doesn’t it? I had to go through a similar process when I first came to the US and discovered pet food in the supermarket.
You bet! There are so many choices and then you get into prescription foods
We had tried prescription food on late Shabbos the Cat, but it was no go.
Andy is pretty good about eating what’s presented. I did go to a Royal Canin food shaped to be easier for Persians to eat, and it’s everything they say about it. Andy really liked it from the start.
Royal Canin for His Majesty Andy. He deserves it!
Nothing too good – unless I can’t afford it! LOL!
😻
He’s looking at Pestopher as if to say What are you doing here? As for what’s wrong with this picture, Daisy Mae And I think what’s wrong he would be trying to kill it with his paws. He’s not acting himself. He’ll be acting like himself in no time.
NB: Pestopher is deceased as of the15th of November. Cause of death: paper towel tube brought down on his body.
I think both of us are getting a bit like Andy at the moment, Doug.
Bless, him.
Yes, I think so!
Hahaha!
Looks like Andy wants a friend more than a hunting party.
Shoko
Could be. I go back and forth on the question. Andy is a very private cat, one reason I hold back.
Looks like P. Flye and Andy have called a truce. 🙂
I think it was more a surrender!
I wonder why Andy isn’t stomping that bug out! 🤔
Me, too.
Awww, Well they can’t play chase but at least its a friend.
It’s up to Andy to determine what happens next, I guess!
Sometimes you just don’t give a poop about anything.
I’m kind of there right now!
Who is Pestopher, Doug ? A fly? I am sorry to ask. Your readers will laughing with my question!!! 🙂
In friendship
Michel
Yes, the fly was around for so many days I named it! I haven’t seen it today, so am hopeful it flew away.
