Some things have priority over sleep.
For Andy, straws top sleep!
Of course, I prefer not sharing my straw till I’m done with it…! (I tease Andy in the meantime.)
His “horns” tell me Andy wants that straw now!

Bess, him. I looked up plastic straws for cats on Gogle, Doug:
“Plastic straws MIGHT have some of the odors that plastic bags have, which are from animal fat based ingredients mixed in to the plastic. Some cats lick plastic bags for this reason”.

The site has some interesting views, questions and answers on cats, Sir.
Cheers.
That answers a question I’ve had about both Andy and the late Dougy! I have to make sure these items are put out of reach as soon as I’ve used them.
Good thinking, mate!
The straw is too tempting a potential toy! 🙂 Blynken would have grabbed it and run! 🙂
It’s a curious behavior. Similarly, when we play with peacock feathers, Andy’s more interested in the quill end than the fluffy end. It requires some strategy, though, so he doesn’t accidentally pull the quill too close to his eyes.
Andy has a pointed and knowing gaze at the end of the video. That makes me think he knows he will get his straw, eventually!
I have to hide it and bring it out for supervised play since he will try to eat chunks if he chews them off!
The straw looks like a flute . So you have a cat flutist, Doug :). You are spoiled! 🙂

ps : thanks for your comments about health. I replied.
I wonder if Mozart, who reportedly hated flutes, would approve of a kitty boy playing a flute….?
Love those horns. 🙂
I didn’t know about them till I got two Persian kitty boys. Short-haired kitties have them, too, just not so obvious.
