Andy has successfully removed every mousie that even dares to challenge him. And Andy does not seek any reward for his service,,,except for those that he already enjoys as Lord and Master of the manor.
Oh, but he expects me to pet him and remind him what a wonderful kitty boy he is for keeping the place free of mousies! He’ll make me do this any time I’m near the cabinets in the kitchen!
And he will remind you that kitchen cabinets infested with giant mousies would ever and anon find you asking him to pull a “Return of the Pied-Piper” to rid said cabinets of vile vermin.
LOL! Yes, so I’m lucky to have a brave kitty boy on my team! The price of a union musician to take the mousies for a hike, well….!
I am now envisioning your brave boy holding a flute and piping a tune that mesmerizes a horde of rats, leading them all into an abyss somewhere in Western Nebraska. Such a feat would be worth the price of a union musician. You might also be invited to demonstrate Andy’s talent on a late-night TV program.

The weather report looks a bit better here in terms of temperature, though a mix of rain and snow is forecast for the week.
We have a little in the middle of the week (20% chance…), but mostly clear if cool weather here.

It’s a quiet one. I’m catching up on public television programs I’ve missed over the year and plan on watching the thousandth rebroadcast (!) of “The Wizard of Oz”, which I haven’t watched in a long time since it has always been heavily rebroadcast over the years. Always interesting to see how well old films hold up. I might listen to an old radio broadcast set I have for “The Cinnamon Bear”, which used to be rebroadcast annually between the US Thanksgiving Day and Christmas. It came out originally before WWII, and there are ominous allusions to the times for those aware of history and to racial profiling that wouldn’t pass today, but, heck, it’s just a children’s Christmas story so it must be OK….!
