What’s better than playtime?
Yes! Yes! Yes! New kitty grass!
Andy had several blades of it and looks forward to the planter on the right being full of more kitty grass.

Do you let him nibble at the pot of grass as much as he wants?
He eventually gets to, but I handfeed him grass at this stage. It’s actually easier for him if I do.
We keep some junk-mail catalogs handy for just such barfing emergencies. When you hear the sound just grab for the nearest catalog and follow the kitty. 🙂
Great idea!
It’s all in the timing.
Yes, fortunately (!), as soon as they start “horking”, you get a pretty good idea what’s coming next! LOL!
My son Alan came up with the idea. He also taught me how to humanely capture a flying insect that has a stinger. You wait until it appears on a window pane, then trap it in a glass, then slide a thin slice of junk mail between the glass and the pane. A humane measure even.
Great idea! I should try to do that instead of pointing the insect out to Andy. He does try to be humane as a murdering kitty boy, but he reminds me he is a cat! LOL!
The kitty grass culture is narrowly followed by Andy! 🙂
LOL! He became very interested once the grass got tall enough to eat.
My cat likes being handfed a few blades. Without teeth she finds it hard to get to it by herself.
Andy has to be handfed, too, thanks to his whiskers getting in the way. Those short Persian faces are a problem!
Plant material that goes down reappears later…but they do enjoy the grass. 🙂
Yes! Andy’s always had a tender tummy, and the grass helps out.
the mama said yes… and we wonder hahahaha
Andy already barfed it in the bathroom. Good kitty! (He might have barfed on the carpet instead. Small victories. Yes, small victories!)
