I try to remember holidays, especially those of people who read my posts. It’s a pretty good trick when they are holidays not commonly observed in the USA, but Jewish holidays, those of Mexico, at least, I am a bit more aware o9f than, say, Muslim holidays. When I corresponded with a Muslim in Indonesia, I was a bit better aware of his religious holidays, especially Ramadan and Eid.
I’m Presbyterian, so the answer is no, and I am unfamiliar with that cookie! vaguely recall seeing them made on the Food Network, now that FI’ve seen a photo of them.
