This is Andy, on his back in my arm, waiting for his eye drops and the ear smear of hyperthyroid medicine. He doesn’t struggle, to my amazement, and that means I haven’t had to wrap him in a towel to medicate him.
This Andy as soon as he sees the drops coming to his eyes. Head flung back. I just put a hand behind his head and gently position it for the medicine. After I medicate him, I tell him, in a calm voice, over and over, what a good kitty boy he is. And he is a good kitty boy.
He is a sweet kitty boy ad so cooperative!
Don’t think I don’t appreciate it! As a cat person yourself, you know this level of co-operation is novel and phenomenal! In past, he wasn’t this easy to medicate.
That’s pretty impressive. He must really trust you.
Believe me, in past he never co-operated unless I swaddled him in a heavy towel! He hated it, I hated it.

That is a very good Andy boy, Doug! He must know he feels better. Or, as the Borg say, “Resistance is futile!”
I hope it is because it makes him feel better. I’d think the glaucoma eyedrops would especially make his eyes more comfortable since it’s been established the eyedrops brought the internal pressure down to a normal level.

In past, he resisted. My only guess is the eyedrop’s make his eyes feel much better since the glaucoma was brought into control with them, almost instantly.
