“Hey, Andy!” I waved it in his direction.
Andy came running when he saw the peacock feather “thingy”, a strangely favorite toy.
Pat! Pat! Pat!
Andy traps it under his paw…
…and rawrs it! This peacock feather quill shred still fascinates Andy.

There is something oddly fascinating to cats about peacock quills even without the feathery part
Andy licks and mouths it. There must be some “essence of peacock” he gets from that.
🙂
As long as Mr Andy is having fun.
Exactly!
Something about feathers, even when they are shredded! 🙂
I don’t know if there is a smell they like or texture or some recognition that it was attached to prey at one time, but Andy definitely gets into the thrill of the idea of the hunt.
Andy needed a time of concentration and reflection,Doug, then ….raw! 🙂

He’s really thorough about this …
If I let him, he just mouths and licks it. Otherwise, he chases after it.
All his own work
it’s beyond me what the fascination is. Whatever amuses the kitty, though….
in our imagination the old toys are brand new ;O)))
Andy loves to mouth this thing. I wouldn’t dare toss it out….
