Andy…
…knows…
…when…
…to take action!
=(^+^)=
Poor Andy! All I have to do to end his pestering is reach out to him with two hands! He takes that as a threat from me to pick him up. “No! No! No! I don’t want to he hugged and ‘wuvved’ like a baby!” Andy protests being held. He’s never been a lap kitty, though he lets me hold him several minutes at a time sometimes. It used to be he was good for several seconds! Likewise, unlike the late Dougy who was always up for a play session, Andy slowly gets into the play mood. Will Andy ever become happy being held or ready to play on the drop of a pin? Mayb, though I doubt it.
Cats definitely have their own personalities. And we have no luck in changing them!
Absolutely no way!
It’s his personality. Mr Andy is an intellectual, rather than a playful / lap kitty.
he is that way, Dolly. His brother was the wild and crazy kitty, always ready for rough and tumble kitty play.
Kitty personalitites!
Fascinating, aren’t they?
Cats and dogs are like humans, each with his or her very own personality. I’ll hug Andy!
You can hug him, if he’s in the mood!
My observations are the same as Leah’s. Our Nod is not fond of being held, but sticks like glue to me and likes to sit on my shoulder like a parrot.
LOL! Andy has to be close by, just out of reach if at possible.
We’ve always found cats vary greatly, some just aren’t snugglers, others are so clingy that it’s hard to get anything done.
How true! The late Louie the ginger kitty was a huge almost 24-pound kitty that had a habit of hopping on my lap. I learned always to have a pillow on my lap after the first time. LOL! loved to be held and it was almost like having a lap dog with him.
One thing’s for sure. It would have to be his rules
He wouldn’t be a kitty otherwise, eh?!
Yep, every cat has their own purrsonality. I have one out of 3 that actually enjoys being held.
I feel better having someone else verify it’s the cat, not me! I’ve been fortunate, it seems to have had two huggy baby kitties out of four.
Oh Andy! Sunny is the same way! She’ll pester me for attention until I grab her and give her a big hug and fake kiss (I don’t like hair all over my mouth). Then she’s like “Yuck!” and runs away from me…until she’s hungry for dinner. Some cats just aren’t cuddly types. I have a friend who is disappointed her cat won’t snuggle with her, but I pointed out to her that at least she can wear dark colors and not worry about going out covered in cat hair.
LOL! Yeah, I get that “yuck” response from Andy and it hurts me feelings. “But Andy! Yer mah kitteh!” He just gives me that “Get bent!” look and scampers off.
